R3 Strategic Support Group was well represented at the U.S. Navy EOD Group ONE (EODGRU ONE) Change of Command, Family Day, and 3rd annual King Crab competition awards presentation. We had over 20 R3 Teammates in attendance, including three former EODGRU ONE Commodores and our subject matter experts supporting both the EODGRU ONE Headquarters Staff and EOD Training and Evaluation Unit (EODTEU ONE).

R3's cross-functional team of 16 High-Risk Training Instructors at EODTEU ONE provided outstanding support to King Crab 2026 in San Diego and China Lake, CA from 20-26 August.

EODTEU ONE's Director of Training commented to our Program Manager: "Mr. (Kyle) Kirk, Your company’s active involvement during King Crab last week was vital to our success! The exercise would NOT have been as successful as it was with out R3 support!!! Thanks for all the help preparing for it and during ex*****on."

On September 12, Chad Munroe - an R3 Strategic Support Group Teammate and retired U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Senior Chief - will join the EOD Warrior Foundation panel titled "25th Anniversary of 9/11: Strength in Every Long Walk" to share his perspective on September 11 and the two decades of service that followed.

When September 11 happened, Chad Munroe's Navy career had just begun.

Chad joined the U.S. Navy in 2000 as an Intelligence Specialist. Following the attacks of September 11, he deployed aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt — beginning a path of service that would ultimately span two decades.

In 2003, Chad graduated from NAVSCOLEOD and was assigned to EODMU 11. He went on to complete two deployments to Iraq, where he disarmed more than 200 improvised explosive devices.

In 2006, Chad was selected for Naval Special Warfare Development Group, where he became an operator and deployed six times in support of Joint Task Forces conducting hostage rescue and direct action missions in the Middle East and Africa.

His military honors include the Bronze Star with Valor, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, five Joint Commendation Medals with Valor, and three Combat Action Ribbons.

On September 12, Chad will join our panel for 25th Anniversary of 9/11: Strength in Every Long Walk, sharing his perspective on September 11 and the two decades of service that followed.

For Chad, 9/11 came near the beginning of his military career. What followed would help define it.

R3 Strategic Support Group, Inc. was a proud Diamond Presenting Sponsor for the 7th Annual NSOF Benefit Gala held on June 28, 2025. It was the Navy Special Operations Foundation's most successful gala to date, raising over $207,000 to directly support Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Operators, U.S. Navy Divers, and their families. This record-breaking evening brought together close to 350 attendees in Virginia Beach to celebrate the Navy EOD & Diver community, honor the fallen, and fund the critical programs NSOF provides.

R3 officially opened its newest office at 4534 Hwy 20, Niceville, FL 32578 on Thursday, April 30th. R3 was joined in the ribbon cutting ceremony by members of One Okaloosa EDC, TeCMEN, EOD Warrior Foundation, several of our business teaming partners, and family and friends. The Niceville office provides a persistent physical presence to R3's expanding customer base in the Southeast United States. R3 currently has over 10 prime and sub-contracts supporting customers such as the Center for EOD and Diving, Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal, Naval Diving and Salvage Training Center, Air Force Civil Engineering Center, 801st RED HORSE Training Squadron, and others at Eglin AFB, Naval Support Activity Panama City, and Tyndall AFB.

Current and former R3 Strategic Support Group Teammates enjoyed a great Veteran’s Day weekend, taking part in the 5th Annual "Rampart Ride" at Tackitt Family Vineyards in San Miguel, CA. The event involved two days of biking, live music, great food, and community fun — all in support of the EOD Warrior Foundation.

R3 was a proud sponsor and donated in support of R3 alumni Gene Rathgeber, who placed 2nd on the donations received leaderboard. Gene and Robert Baughman participated in the cycling event.

The annual Rampart Ride benefits wounded, ill, and injured service members. Hosted by Tackitt Family Vineyards, the event includes a bike clinic, welcome party, and a main ride.

The 5th annual "Rampart Ride," coming November 7th and 8th, is a charity cycling event sponsored by the EOD Warrior Foundation and Tackitt Family Vineyards. R3 Strategic Support Group teammates Bob Baughman and Marc Tranchemontagne were among the current and former U.S. Navy EOD in attendance at the Congressional EOD Caucus’ recent "EOD Day on the Hill." The annual event showcases EOD capabilities and provides members of Congress and their staffs the opportunity to meet EOD personnel and leadership from the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and Air Force, as well as FBI, ATF, and USCP leaders. The EOD Caucus is a bipartisan congressional member organization that advocates for military EOD unit members and their families in 115 congressional districts. A few R3 Strategic Support Group teammates enjoyed a beautiful San Diego day while golfing, team building, and supporting the San Diego Military Advisory Council (SDMAC) Foundation's Golf Tournament and Social on 19 May. All proceeds from the event went directly toward scholarships for transitioning service members. SDMAC's mission is to empower and serve the San Diego military, military families, and veteran communities through outreach, furthering education and skills, and supporting veteran transition initiatives.
