local heroes as they walk across the mainstage to receive recognition for their diverse contributions

Well hello 2022! It was quite the ride getting here but we did it! The last few years have forced us to think smarter, more creatively, and more strategically while knowing that there will always only be so much we can control. We had to be resilient while persistent, focused while flexible. We’re ready for a new year, new challenges and new exciting projects. 2022 we have been training for you!

Here’s a little glimpse into what we were up to the last few months.

Gaslamp Pet Parade is BACK! And with a fun new holiday Pups in the Pub Party! Mark your calendars for this Sunday December 19th at 1pm!

The holiday festivities begin at 1pm with the 13th annual Pet Parade. Stroll your pet up 5th Avenue under the Gaslamp Quarter Archway! After the parade, participants will reconvene at Island between 4th Avenue and 5th Avenue where the costume contest winners will be announced! Some of the awards include “Best Christmas Spirit”, “Best Matching Costumes”, and “Best in Show”!

After the parade, stroll to the first-ever Pups in the Pub Party from 2pm – 5pm on Island between 4th Avenue and 5th Avenue. Enjoy 6 tastings from 10 craft beers, complimentary goody bags, DJ, holiday costume contest, live music, fun human & pups food booths, pups and peeps games, photo ops, and lots of puptastic fun!

Take a look a the Southern California Rental Housing Association’s Education Conference and Expo from last week! To get people excited about the venue change we played with the mid-century modern design of the by adding a fun welcome piece by and win rage photo bus! We also streamlined check-in by incorporating an electronic name badge and registration system with and had lots of interactive games like giant chess and mini-golf provided by !

It’s always a great day when we get to celebrate ! Last week’s Concert Gala featuring provided funding for San Diego’s foster youth, and we were challenged to design the traditionally non-themed event with its first ever 80s concept. From a custom scrunchie bar, color blocking to a throwback tequila bar, and oversized Rubiks glow cubes, this 500+ person affair was an amazing fundraising evening that will drive the year-round programs of the organization.

Last night we headed back to the ‘70s for a throwback skate session on the streets of the Gaslamp Quarter . Dust off your skates and meet us on Thursdays as we travel through the 80s, 90s and 00s. Costumes encouraged; no fee to partcipate!

This past weekend we helped Knotty Barrel celebrate their 10 year anniversary with the Knotty Barrel Carnival 🎪 This experience included live music, carnival games, petting zoo, beer tents, palm reading, and of course carnival snacks !
