You may see some up and down with traffic and rankings but that doesn't necessarily mean you've been hit.

Keep an eye on your GSC... even though that has been getting wonky with accurate tracking lately too as per Google.

IMO it's all connected somehow: the spam update, the GSC drop off in tracking AI search, and even the favicons disappearing in serps.

Google needs a nap.

Did ChatGPT just kill Google Reviews? Yelp partnered with OpenAI to license over 330 million user reviews, ratings, photos, and business profiles.

Yelp is also adding access to its Request a Quote feature directly into ChatGPT! This is great news for local service searches on ChatGPT.

Does this news mean that your brand should ignore Google Reviews?

NO! This is a great reminder that your brand should be diversified over platforms. Including Yelp and Google Reviews.

Someday, this partnership between ChatGPT and Yelp will end, and both will look for another partner.

Encourage customers to leave reviews on Google, Yelp, Facebook, and other platforms so that your brand is not relying on only one.

Google just gave away the secret to Organic Traffic.

Everyone should now have access to Google Search Console's social media platform accounts.

Go to Google Search Console and connect your TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and X accounts.

This allows you to see the search terms and keywords driving traffic to your social media accounts. You can use this information to improve your social media planning and build more content!

IMPORTANT: This tracking only shows you the search terms and keywords used in Google Search to find your social media posts. It doesn't track the in-platform searches.

If you don't think that your brand needs to tell people what it is, does, or offers because "people know", remember this: Coca-Cola has a website and still runs ads around the world.

Cola-Cola was first created in 1886 and is now enjoyed the world over. You'd think that no one needs reminding If who they are. But they still talk about themselves.

Your brand's story needs to be told repeatedly. You might get sick of telling it. But most people won't hear it the first time, or the second.

Be consistent, be clear. Keep telling your story to the people that need to hear about it.
