Armed with hundreds of business relationships in California, Judith opened her own business consulting firm and launched JTS in July, 2015. The firm helps companies in California secure and administer free training contracts from the State of California. The program, ETP (Employment Training Panel), can be put toward training employees in business skills, commercial skills, language skills, comput
er skills and other industry specific training. We act in a consultative capacity to analyze and evaluate current training needs, strategize curricula, define ETP eligibility, compose the grant application and secure the funding in Sacramento. Once secured, JTS helps create training schedules to guarantee ETP companies perform at maximum capacity to capture the full grant. Other responsibilities include:
- Creating opportunity for the employer to develop employees' skill sets, resulting in higher profit margins and productivity
- Partnering with management teams to administer the contract and interface with the state on their behalf
- Securing the right funds to offset internal client training costs
To date, JTS has closed $4m in ETP contracts for over 12 California companies such as Performance Foodservice, Multi Cable Link, Vital Research, Sprouts, Big 5, Brighton Collectibles, Lance Camper, Evy of California, Republic Services, Hollywood Bed, Saint George Warehouse, Douglas Steel and Alpine. JTS was Nominated in 2014 and 2016 for the Los Angeles Business Journal Citizenship Award and is currently positioned as the 12th business consultant to the State of California.
