$23k months are already inside of you.

Now your work is about focus. The difference between getting there in 6 months and a year and a half comes down to how often you continue to match with your dream clients in high ticket containers.

Every time you find yourself speaking to or serving a lower version of your dream client, the work is to recalibrate yourself.

Learning how it feels in your body to be an energetic match for your dream clients makes this whole process so much easier because you don’t have to overthink anything.

You get to trust. To be. To surrender to what comes out of you in that state.

As you were moving towards securing $9k a month your thoughts were something like, “how can I make money today/this week/this month/right now.”

But to get to $23k months, you have to shift into a more specific way of making money.

Especially if you want the $23k to be the base for $42k and then $81k, etc.

To get at the heart of how to make more money without working more or harder, you have to understand what’s going to keep clients coming in the door.

And in a coaching business it’s to get your clients results. That paired with solid marketing pretty much guarantees you stability and success.

So anytime you’re working with a client that’s getting the transformation they paid you for, you’re investing in the long-term success of your business.

And the opposite is true too, any clients you have that are “just paying the bills” meaning you don’t love working with them or they aren’t ready/willing/able to do the work required to get results is NOT investing in your mid or long term success.

This is why getting clear on who the clients are that are actually ready to get the best results is such foundational work.

So the reason coaches get caught in this little $9k valley longer than they have to, is that they feel like their business is more stable working with people who pay them (even if they’re not getting results) than NOT working with them. (They also might not have realized this.)

So the answer to question #3 above is to elevate your ideal client, your messaging and your offers and work exclusively with the clients who you know can get results. Replace your current income with MRR from your elevated clients in long term containers. Book out your high ticket offers this way and then when you have no more capacity, start experimenting with 1:2; 1:3; or 1: many.

Ok, let’s break this down all the way.

First, most people are taught to create lead magnets and low ticket offers as a way to sell their high ticket offers, and in doing so they end up confusing who they are in business to serve because they start making some cash from those low and even mid ticket offers. They then dedicate their business to serving the people’ve who’ve bought from them and moving them along so that those clients may go on to buy their high ticket offers.

The problem is that the clients who’ve bought your low ticket offers are not necessarily the people who are going to buy your high ticket offers. There could be some overlap, probably not as much as you think, but the only way to know is to actually sell your high-ticket offers and find out who those people are.
Your business is going to be more financially stable short-term and secure long-term if you’re delivering high value transformations successfully to your clients.

You can do this BEST in a high ticket container. The people that are going to join you in those containers are more likely to be more committed and get better results that the people buying your low ticket offers.

Until you are totally clear on who you are selling your high ticket offers to, I’d prioritize booking those out. You don’t need low or mid ticket offers to do that.

Now if you’ve sold enough high ticket to know exactly who your ideal client is that is gonna not only pay for high ticket but also get the best results with you then check this out:

The way low ticket offers can grow your business quickly and create a structural foundation for your 7-figure business is when you create it for the same people that buy your high ticket offers (your true ideal clients) and you know that the value is not so much in the $ in brings in, (although money is always nice) but rather in that it is a way for your ideal clients to get a value-packed win from you, and get a taste of your energy, and really get enough information about whether or not they’d like to work with you more intimately.

💩Asking them for help outside of the scope of the container on the reg. (Even tho they signed a contract that was CLEAR)

💩TEXTING them on the weekends- when they use a completely different app for support (like voxer, telegram, slack, etc.)

In other words they’re tolerating s**t they would never tolerate at a 9-5 or in their personal life.

It’s ALWAYS a testament to how committed they are to their work and SOMETIMES a testament to how much they love their clients 😂.

In these cases I don’t believe the solution is to just tighten their boundaries. Because it’s actually a symptom of a different problem: calling in disempowered clients.

If you work with clients who do this too, then you could have a lot to look forward to by setting a new standard of who you work with.

Because when you elevate your ideal client these things follow:

🔥More and better case studies
🔥 Raising your rates
🔥 Longer retention

The more empowered your clients are before working with you, the more you’ll be able to accomplish together.

And the more you accomplish together, the more you can reasonably charge, and the more your clients are going to want to stay with you.

It sounds so simple, and it is. Getting your clients good results is good for your business. And the key to that for many coaches is elevating their ideal client.

I think for most people the journey to your first $100k is one big cash grab, it’s the nature of the beast. You’re learning about what’s working for you and who you can really help in real time, there’s no other way of knowing.

So there’s no point in trying to refine too much before you’re doing $9k months.

But once you’ve learned how to sell, and you’re booking your calendar, realize that what you really have is data.

And I don’t care what they say, data is sexy as F**K.

This is my favorite point in business because everything is already working, now the game is to double down on the things that are working, the things that are going to take you towards your vision of your life and build a strong foundation for your 7 figure business. This also means saying no to a lot of the stuff you’re doing/tolerating that isn’t building the life you want.

So if you’re at $8.33k months or higher cash grab season is officially over and I invite you to enter your refinement era.

Tbh, once you get over the high of making more in doing what you love in your business than you ever did working like a tired peasant in your 9-5, cash grabbing is mixed pickles.

Accepting money from people that you’re not 100% sure are going to get the results they are paying you for feels wobbly AT BEST.

But there’s like really no way around that, as you’re starting your business.

(Just want to put ^this^ here in case you’re reading this feeling personally attacked.)

No one really talks about it, but I don’t see how you could expect anyone to grow their business and know exactly who is going to get the best results from them from day 1 without some experimentation.

👉🏼Once you hit around ten k months you have the data you need to make elevated choices about who you work with and how you work with them, and the benefit for you (besides feeling more solid in your work) is that you can make a more money by ONLY working with clients you can help get results.

I’m about to say what no one else in the traditional business world will: If you approach this work from your rational brain, you will get mediocre results (and it’ll feel slow and hard.)

The biggest reason that I see coaches not signing 1:1 clients is that in the past, when they have, they allowed an experience like these 👆🏼👆🏼👆🏼 to mean something about them.

Here’s what else I see in them:

1. They are energetically sensitive and have an incredibly high level of integrity that they live up to in every area of their life.

2. They are more skilled than they even allow themselves to see. Not only are they talented and working in their zone of genius, they are far more capable of getting their clients success than half of the people in their industry with 6-figure businesses already.

The fact that these women are not signing 1:1 clients is usually a testament of their integrity- in a fu**ed up way. Because they’re not clear on exactly what was theirs and what was their clients to clean up, so they take on all of the responsibility of the outcome and decide not to do it again.

But if they were to dissect their experience a little more closely, like I’ve done above they would see that it’s highly likely that they can have a much better experience the next time around, especially by calling in a more empowered client.

So instead of hyper focusing on selling low and mid ticket offers or creating passive income or building out self-paced courses, basically saying yes to any kind of money you can get your hands on, I say leave it all on the table and let’s go back to your 1:1s.

Because whether you see it or not, the only way to build a sustainable coaching business where you’re not always hustling for a couple hundred dollars constantly is by building your 1:1’s. 🧘🏼

Let’s take a look back at the reasons you’re not craving more retainer clients with every sparkle in your soul so that we can fix the problems, plug the leaks, set the boundaries, define the deliverables, tighten the messaging, and show the most discerning skeptical parts of yourself that 1:1 work can not only make you financially secure but also feel genuinely good to partake in.
