Values are the rooted beliefs and guides that shape a person's decisions, behaviors, and interactions.
Some people really value a deal. They want to feel like they are getting more than they paid for.
Some people value time, so they want to feel like they are using their time wisely. They appreciate convenience.
Some people value comfort. They want ease and want to avoid negative distractions.
Some people value quality. They want to know that what they are paying for will last and meet their expectations.
When you raise prices, you will always lose a few clients. What’s important is making sure that the value that is built into the experience of your services is also boosted, so that you not only hold onto most of the clients you currently have, but you also attract other clients when you convey these values in your marketing.
Most people are tired of tipping culture. Consider raising to a price that also includes this tip. If you lose a few clients, the math should math to where you’re still earning more, or at least the same, while working less. That’s the goal for most of us so we can preserve our bodies long term and live fulfilling lives outside of work.
And competition? Be the competition!
Lastly, and probably most importantly, go see the lady and work on self worth. When that part of you is healed and boosted, earning a live-able wage without needing to sacrifice your body will be a no brainer.
