S Curve Strategies We help states & counties across the U.S. develop regional transportation electrification strategies

We collaborate with our EV industry colleagues to enhance your EV programs' success.

• Regional Transportation Electrification Planning — Stakeholder engagement is the best way to increase your region's adoption of electric cars, trucks, and buses. We do this every day for some of the country's most forward-thinking states, counties, and utilities.

• Electric Utilities – With 11 years of exp

erience leading the EV team of one of the most innovative utilities in this space, we provide you with industry best practices and creative solutions to shorten the time it will take to implement your transportation electrification program.

• Fleet Electrification – We create a roundtable with leaders of the fleet industry in your region, as well as national leaders in fleet electrification, along with manufacturers developing electric fleet vehicles, to share best practices and streamline implementation.

• EV Electricity Rates – One of the most complicated topics for EV drivers to understand, and we know what messaging works. Time-of-use rates, day-ahead hourly pricing, grid-integrated rates, and demand charges – each can be easily explained.

• EV Charging – We work with the most progressive companies in this arena on some of the most complicated charging installation programs.

• Dealership Training – EV drivers continue to tell us their buying experience could be improved. Implementing an EV training program for local salespeople helps ensure that once you’ve educated your customers and stakeholders about EVs, they have a positive experience with the first touchpoint in their EV journey.

• Renewable Energy & Battery Storage – Renewable energy and battery storage as key pieces of your EV charging program will ensure you are using the cleanest electricity to fuel electric cars in your region. We partner with the country’s leaders on this topic for holistic transportation electrification integration.

⚡️ Is your fleet ready to go electric?

Electrifying your fleet isn’t just about sustainability anymore, it’s about staying competitive. At S Curve Strategies, we help fleet operators uncover the right time (and the right way) to make the switch.

Our latest blog breaks down 5 key signs your fleet may be primed for electrification, based on real data, not guesswork.

Got centralized operations?

Spending too much on fuel and maintenance?

Already tracking your fleet data?

If you nodded yes to even a few of these, it’s time to take a serious look at your EV readiness.

Big box, big impact.

Costco is taking a major step toward solving one of EV drivers’ biggest headaches: charging. Partnering with Electric Era, founded by ex-SpaceX engineers, they’ve launched fast-charging stalls at their North Port, FL warehouse that can power up an EV battery to 80% in under an hour.

The beauty? You can grab a $1.50 hot dog combo, stock up on bulk snacks, and charge your EV, without ever leaving the parking lot.

With 500+ Costco locations in the U.S., this could be a game-changer for EV infrastructure—convenient, reliable, and independent of federal dollars. Retail meets range anxiety relief.

Costco partnered with a company founded by former SpaceX engineers to provide fast electric vehicle charging services to customers at one Florida location.

Fleet electrification is moving fast, but infrastructure isn’t keeping up.

That’s where the National Fleet Electrification Network (NFEN) comes in. By developing shared charging hubs and partnering with utilities, NFEN is tackling the biggest barriers to electrification—cost, complexity, and coordination.

S Curve Strategies is proud to support this game-changing initiative, helping fleets and stakeholders build the roadmap to a cleaner, more efficient future. Ready to get involved? Let’s build the future of fleet charging, together.

Is the math math-ing? I've never been one to be particularly upset about state EV registration fees -- that make sense. (Those states trying to charge $1K annually though, yikes!) In case you missed it, a $250 federal fee was about to be imposed on top of state fees. I already pay hundreds of dollars to my state in EV registration and Transportation Improvement Fees. I like how InsideEVs dug into the math...

Based on the Federal Highway Administration's math, the average American driver burns through about 550 gallons of gas each year, with a total gas tax expense at $101. The proposed $250 fee is the equivalent of 1,100 gallons of gas -- twice the average.

I want to support our roads, but I don't want to add double the cost to what I already pay.

The Senate version of the budget bill doesn’t include the annual fee on EVs and hybrids. But they may not be out of the woods yet.

🚨 EV policy is at a crossroads.

Proposed legislation in Washington could eliminate federal EV tax credits, impose new fees, and roll back key incentives that have fueled U.S. manufacturing and job growth.

At S Curve Strategies, we’ve been saying it for months: the U.S. is falling behind global EV leaders, and without smart, stable policy, we risk losing our competitive edge and clean energy momentum.

The Senate now has a critical decision to make: protect American innovation and clean transportation jobs, or stall progress when we need it most.

Let’s choose a future that’s powered by progress.

The House version of the tax bill would revoke credits for EVs starting at the end of this year. If the plan survives, it would dramatically shape automaker investments and EV sales.

Just back from an incredible ACT Expo / ACT News where the energy, innovation, and collaboration around fleet electrification were on full display.

From future-proofing infrastructure to scaling school bus and last-mile delivery electrification, the common thread was clear: strategic partnerships and smart planning are essential.

I had the chance to hear directly from thought leaders at First Student, Con Edison, Bechtel, Ford Pro, Voltera, and so many more. Discussions ranged from high-powered charging to the practical hurdles of scaling bi-directional infrastructure, and how AI and autonomy will reshape fleet logistics.

One takeaway I’ve been repeating for months: the U.S. is falling behind global EV manufacturing leaders like China, and we can and must do better. Let’s keep pushing forward, together.
