Hello everyone!

First off, I hope you are having an excellent start to the new year!

Thank you all for your support over the last 15 years.
It's unbelievable that I started Wilkerson Consulting while working part-time at a car dealership in 2010. Yall know me, I feel the need to do everything and wear (too) many hats. Over the years, WCA grew, but today I look back and realize that my dream for WCA is greater than where it actually is. My time for WCA is nonexistent, and it is neither fair to anyone seeking my professional assistance or to me to stretch myself further than I already have.

When it comes to running a profitable, full-time business, you really need to put your whole heart and all your time into it, and while my entire heart is in everything I do, my time isn't.

I have loved working with my clients over the years; it's been and is so much fun working with so many different types of businesses and people, many of whom have become friends if they weren't already!

While I have really enjoyed myself and I'm proud of what I have done for businesses near and far since 2010, I am 100% ready to say goodbye to this chapter and transition into the next, which is to focus primarily on Traci's Paws. I have always had to divide my time between the two, and spending less time on my nonprofit organization is non-negotiable.
I look forward to dedicating even more time to it this year and beyond.

Today is National Name Your Car Day, and if you know me, you know I've named all of my cars, except for one!!

If you really know me, this car looks just like the one I had in high school. So, if you remember the "name", don't blurt it out quite yet!

I have a list of names for the cars I've owned since this one in 1996, and I'd like you to see which name best matches the 1973 Volkswagen Super Beetle pictured here. (BTW, don't judge, I just love cars!)

Are yall sick of seeing so many ads in your newsfeed?
This post is for those of you who have not updated your settings!
And this is a LOT of work, and chances are you have done this for some accounts, but not each one you have ever clicked on while scrolling. If you clicked on an ad 7 years ago from a resort, that account captured your click data, and continues to send you ads.

Follow these steps to lighten up your feed and start seeing more friends’ posts and less ads!

Via mobile

1. Go to your settings (click the the little cog or whatever it's called, up at the top).

2. Go to the “Meta Accounts Center” section. Then scroll to and click on "See more in “Accounts Center”.

3. Scroll to “Account Settings” and click on "Ad preferences" that has a little megaphone in front of it.

4. You will be in "Ad preferences" and you can "Customize ads" and "Manage info" here!

4a. When you are in “Customize Ads”, you can scroll down and click on ads that you’ve interacted with, advertisers you’ve seen ads from etc. You can click on each one and “hide ads” which will turn them off, but you have to do this for each one, which can be time consuming.

4b. The “Manage info.” section is really good to edit because if you have some of your professional information on your FB account like your employer or college you attended, the ads that pop up will be based on this information.

I’m not 100% on how long it will take to stop seeing the ads, but this will definitely help once your new settings have kicked in.

Remember, you may miss some great events or sales since you’ve cancelled ads, but just remember to “Favorite” your favorite businesses and just stay up to date by visiting their sites when you want and NOT because their ads have been shoved down your throat, LOL!
