Last month I got to open up for (one of my inspirations as a songwriter) and . Truly one of the most surreal moments of my life. The way the crowd moshed and sang our songs back to us was really special, especially given where these songs come from. That last pic is my favorite bc i remember telling Ian () in the middle of the song how wild it was that we were playing a show like this. What a shot of adrenaline.

I should say something....hmmm. Okay, got it. First and foremost, thank you all for streaming our first EP, “Sorry About The Mess.” It ain’t much, but getting Waiting For The Sun to where it is now has been extremely rewarding. Glad y’all liked it.

Summer is always a weird point for being in a college based band because everyone gets scattered. I’ve always viewed Silent Island as more of a collective, so thanks to the internet songs are still being written and made. EP #2 is chugging along, but I wouldn’t expect anything until November at the soonest for an EP. I don’t even have a name for it (typically useful for lyrical direction, imo).

With that said, EP #2 should be different from our first one. The songs are longer, a lil more ambient. There will definitely be keyboards. Hope to see you all soon.

Last thing, our next show is October 4th. But more on that later :)
