As a professional dancer, I know that when you’re off-balance, the solution isn't to cut off a limb—it's to engage your core. As a business strategist, I can attest that its no different!

​Right now, San Diego is off-balance.
​Proposing increased spending on policing while starving the arts—the very "social infrastructure" proven to drop crime by 18%—is a failure of strategy.

​Artists are our most efficient entrepreneurs. They turn a single dollar into ten. They are the connective tissue between our health, our safety, and our economic growth.

​I wrote a letter to the City Council stating that we need a people-centric model that views the arts as an investment, not an expense. ​Because a city’s culture is NOT a luxury, its a necessity for a thriving economy.

Artistpreneurs: The same discipline it takes to master a choreography can be leveraged to build your business, a strong community and positive impact & legacy in this world.

I know im a day late but for​ this de la I’m honoring the artist I've always been and the leader I’ve become.

​Growing up in this country, the narrative always guided us toward "assimilation." I was told my immigrant identity was a hurdle and that art wasnt a path toward success. But I found that the skillsets honed in both were actually the keys to unlocking everything!

The Latino culture's hyperfocus on community, family ties, humility and compassion made me a people centric leader and a community minded artist.

Being a dancer made self-aware, taught me the art and power of partnership and collaboration, dedication and team dynamics.

Embracing these parts of my identity taught me grit and helped me recognize that my ability to build:
Million dollar brands & strategies
​National retail partnerships
​Large-scale fashion shows
​High-impact events & fundraisers
Immersive arts experiences
Organizations
Communities
​.... was not in spite of my roots and my passions but because of them.

We don't just dance; we orchestrate. We don't just perform; we lead. We dont just party, we build community!

The is An organization that we didnt set out to create but in some ways may have created us (or maybe thats just my personal opinion 🤭). We started from potlucks in our living rooms and now boost a network of 450+. And while we can say we've been able to achieve a lot as a Social Organization, the best part about us is our members and the days we get to hang out together!
