So if you didn’t know, we recently moved up to a cute little town called Menifee, CA (don’t worry I’m still in San Diego 4 days a week for work.) This move was such a difficult transition for my oldest daughter Alessandra. She’s always had this sweet and sometimes painfully shy demeanor about her, so leaving her best friend and starting over at a new school has been such a mental challenge for her. The tears were flowing for that first day but to my surprise on just the second day of school I picked her up with the biggest smile on her face. She had met a really sweet little girl and even had a few classmates ask her to partner up during math. My mommy heart was so relieved to know she wasn’t sitting alone at lunch anymore.😭. Isn’t that first day just as difficult for us mamas?

There’s something so sacred about those few moments when you stand before all the most important people in your life and promise to spend your life with another person. The vows may be different, but knowing you’re sharing the same tradition that has been exchanged between lovers for centuries is such an incredible feeling.

In only one month I get to photograph these two beautiful souls tying the knot! They’ve found the most gorgeous intimate venue tucked away in the woods of Mt. Hood. Crazy story, Stephanie booked the venue and didn’t even know that I happen to be from the little town where this amazing venue is located. It’s all very serendipitous, just like all the best things in life are. These two are a couple made in couple heaven and I cannot wait to document their beautiful union.

When Ali came to me with the idea for this session I was beyond excited that I'd get to see her fun and vivacious mama again, I was SO on board! The session was an absolute dream, and I loved every minute I spent with this gorgeous family. THEN these film scans hit my inbox and I had to sit down, you ladies look RADIANT, and you look pretty adorable too, Leo. Three generations of absolute beauty. Motherhood/sister/Mimi sessions are some of my favorite types!

I’m feeling antsy. Antsy for the first signs of spring, antsy to find our perfect home, antsy in all my ridiculous nesting habits, and most of all, antsy to meet our newest addition.
