There's the pressure of buying BIG presents for your loved ones, compensating for the quality time you've missed, dealing with the rising cost of holiday treats, and the frenzy of holiday cooking. All this can feel overwhelming and expensive - like you're spending a significant chunk of the money you've worked so hard for.
If you're like most of us, you started 2023 brimming with great ideas and the motivation to make it a smashing year. But, you may have found yourself trapped in the day-to-day grind, constantly putting out fires, whether due to your team or the lack of one, and thus perpetually busy with client work. So much so, that there's been no time to work on your business, only in it. Your clients demand all your attention, tying your revenue directly to this client work. And when you're not working, neither is your business.
Nothing progresses without your direct involvement.
I'm not sure about you, but I used to consistently overestimate what I could accomplish in a week. By Friday, my to-do list was often only half complete, if I had one at all. My tasks and goals were disorganized – some in an app, some on a calendar, but most just floating in my head. I found myself prioritizing everything, easily distracted, and chasing after every new idea.
If any of this sounds familiar, it's time to ask yourself: How efficiently am I running my business?
Stay tuned for my next few posts for insights on how I turned things around!
