Oliver's Opera was filmed at the Palace Hotel, the Inn of San Francisco, and the old Hugo Hotel (1907) at 6th and Howard, which was demolished soon after filming was complete. The outside of the condemned Hugo had been the site of Brian Goggin's site specific work Defenestration for many years, but few people had seen the inside of the building. We wanted to make a film that would capture its atmosphere and harken back to the way things might have been near the time of its creation. Oliver's Opera is best experienced as a series of vignettes or paintings. Watch it full screen, credits are in the comments, feel free to tag.

Humanity struggles forward. Progress was shot in the desert by my friend Pablo 2000 (Paul Andresen) on his antique hand cranked camera in an 80MPH wind. Directing this one take wonder was a tribute to the sheer power of ridiculousness.

Fine Dining won Best Short at the Moondance Film Festival, and a few other awards from festivals that probably just did not know what to think of it. Shot with an antique hand crank camera on 35mm film, there was no electricity used in its production. An illustrious congregation of clowns, st*****rs, and ne'er do wells...

Modern Life was the first Storyfarm production. It won lots of awards, including a Golden Gate Award from the San Francisco Int'l Film Fest.

A strange little update on an old gothic tale.

A little piece of something I edited.

I just got an endorsement from author and media guru Larry Jordan... very exciting.

"90% of a successful film is due to planning. The other 90% is due to ex*****on. Dean's book can help you with both."
