The format changed this year.

48 teams. A brand-new group stage. Rules that didn't exist the last time the world's biggest soccer tournament kicked off.

Sound familiar?

That's privacy in 2026. New state laws, shifting frameworks, requirements that move faster than any team can casually keep up with. And the squads that go far aren't the ones with the flashiest talent, they're the ones who know exactly what the rules are before they step onto the pitch.

The same is true for your data.

No matter how you say it, the data speaks for itself. πŸ“Šβœ¨TrustArc has been named a G2 Summer 2026 Leader based on high cu...

TrustArc has been named a G2 Summer 2026 Leader based on high customer satisfaction and strong market presence. Thanks for loving us in every generation!

⚽ We asked the TrustArc team who they're rooting for in the World Cup. Turns out when you're a global privacy company, picking one team isn't so simple.

From the US to the UK, Germany to India, our team spans the globe, and so do our loyalties. We've got passionate supporters in every corner of the bracket.

Which makes sense, really. Privacy doesn't have borders, and neither do we.

While the world tunes in to watch the beautiful game, we'll be thinking about something we can't quite turn off: what 5 billion+ fans, ticketing platforms, broadcast deals, broadcast rights, and sponsor ecosystems mean for data privacy on a global scale. The World Cup is one of the most data-intensive events on the planet. Consent flows, cross-border data transfers, biometric stadium tech: it's all happening in real time.

But first things first. πŸ†

Who are YOU rooting for? Drop your pick in the comments. We'll be cheering for... well, almost everyone.

Privacy programs don't run themselves and the teams building them deserve tools that actually work.

That's why G2's Summer 2026 recognition means a lot to us. TrustArc earned badges across seven categories: Data Privacy Management, Consent Management Platform, DSAR, Privacy Impact Assessment, Cookie Tracking, Website Privacy Auditing, and Data Breach Notification, based on 314 real reviews from the practitioners using our platform every day.

One customer described the value as moving "away from manual, fragmented processes to a more structured and centralized approach." That's the work. That's the point.

Thank you to everyone who reviewed us on G2 this season. πŸ…

A 20-point advantage on the Global Privacy Index. That's what governance frameworks and certifications deliver.

The reason isn't complicated. Governance frameworks and formal certifications turn privacy from a collection of compliance tasks into an integrated operational discipline, with coordinated controls, connected technology, and clear accountability across the enterprise. They also predict technology integration: organizations using the Nymity PMAF are three times as likely to operate fully integrated privacy tech stacks, another key to privacy excellence.

Tech firms lead every sector in privacy maturity and the reason is simple: they've turned privacy into an engineering discipline, not a legal checklist.

Our 2026 State of Privacy Management in Technology brief breaks down what's driving that gap, with real data:
πŸ‘‰ 82% of tech pros use AI tools daily
πŸ‘‰ 48% have fully integrated privacy tooling
πŸ‘‰ 77% still say their org should be doing more

Even the leaders know there's ground to cover. πŸ”’

Is your conglomerate actually ready for India's DPDPA, or just in "planning mode"? πŸ—“οΈ

May 2027 is closer than it feels, especially when getting engineering or marketing to act on privacy takes months. From consent requirements stricter than GDPR to 72-hour breach notification and building a champions network across complex business portfolios, there's real work to do now.
