Before my pandemic layoff in 2020, I never promoted my professional experience nor promoted myself as an expert in the industry.

It wasn't until COVID-19
HAPPENED that I realized that I understood the
IMPORTANCE OF A PERSONAL BRAND.

Because once I got LAID OFF, I felt like I lost my identity because I thought to myself...... who the hell am I without this company tied to my resume/LinkedIn profile!?

Fast forward to today, I've built an incredible community on LinkedIn, and my personal brand has led to unique opportunities. I've been recognized as a Top Job Expert to follow on LinkedIn and was named a 2021 LinkedIn Talent Award Finalist.

And today, it's one of my missions to give back to this community and HELP YOU find your voice on LinkedIn!

Tip 6- Optimize Your LinkedIn Headline

Couple weeks ago I was invited to do a *LIVE* with The Mom Project, where I shared my story and tips on how to utilize LinkedIn.

Hibaaq Abdillahi, M.S., Social Media Manager at TMP, invited Andreina Bacigalupo to join us on LIVE to go over her LinkedIn Profile.

We discussed the importance of optimizing your Headline to attract Recruiters to your profile.

➡️ Your headline is the prime real estate on your LinkedIn profile.

➡️ When Recruiters and Sourcers use LinkedIn to search for potential candidates for specific roles, your headline is the first thing that comes up on their search.

➡️ PRO-TIP: Be specific about what you do and what value you bring. Include keywords!

LinkedIn is just like Google, and as a job seeker, you want to make your profile SEO Friendly.
