Thanks for the kind words Adrian Țofei!

We are thrilled that you are enjoying the app.

Letterboxd partnered with Nanocrowd to provide recommendations for popular films, and I'm glad that Be My Cat: A Film for Anne was also included in this beta program: https://letterboxd.com/film/be-my-cat-a-film-for-anne/similar/

They work very differently from IMDb recommendations, as Nanocrowd scrolls the web understanding what people say about a certain film, then recommends films people talk about in similar ways or make them feel similar things.

I was surprised to see Creep as the first recommendation for Be My Cat, because it's so so accurate, and even asked Nanocrowd if they manually tweak the results. But the answer is no. Which makes their automatic technology quite impressive.

As you can see, there are also lots of films that have nothing to do with found footage, but nonetheless audiences reacted to them similarly to Be My Cat, so they made the list.
