Alma Partners is celebrating our 6th anniversary! Do you know the story of our logo, created by a young Waldorf student in early 2020?

In response to our wish to have our logo feel authentic and personal, Milena Ketchum-Evans, age 8 at the time, drew a picture for us in chalk in her driveway, and a business was born! Milena is the daughter of Katie Ketchum, an Alma Partners co-founder and Director of Admissions and Marketing .

We have since sharpened the look of our logo, but the heart and the essence of Milena’s work remains, and we are forever grateful.

One of the most special aspects of being involved in Alma Partners is the fact that we’re like a big family. We love and respect each other deeply, and we have So.Much.Fun when we’re together! High school students today are navigating a complex and rapidly changing world—and classrooms are being asked to evolve alongside them.

This session invites educators into a space of reflection, conversation, and practical learning:
How do we truly meet students where they are while staying rooted in the heart of Waldorf education?

We’re honored to be joined by two deeply thoughtful educators:

Tania Adams brings a trauma-informed, relational approach shaped by her work as a counselor, humanities teacher, and student support coordinator. Her work centers on identity, belonging, and the belief that healing and learning are deeply intertwined.

Adam Newman brings a passion for mathematics and physics grounded in human connection, weaving together academic rigor with student wellbeing, cultural awareness, and a commitment to developing thoughtful, engaged young people.

Together, they’ll share real classroom practices, reflections, and questions that are shaping their work with high school students today.

In honor of National Student Leadership Week (April 20-24), we’re excited to announce our Great Lakes Student Leadership Conference, planned for April 2027! Hosted by and co-sponsored by the Rudolf Steiner School of Ann Arbor ( ), we’re looking forward to bringing middle schools and high schools across the Great Lakes region together for a full day of dialogue and fun activities.

Goals of the conference:
🎯Create a space where student leaders can dialogue honestly across differences and adult supporters can model engaged, responsive leadership
🎯Build students’ confidence, sense of belonging, facilitation skills, and leadership capacity
🎯Develop cross-school networks that empower youth and center their voices
