Misclassifying your workers is expensive. This article shows that no industry is safe. This will be a very costly clean up (likely will settle outside of court, but one to watch nonetheless) with unpaid overtime, missed meal and rest periods, wage statement issues…all racking up each pay period. Ay yay yay….

Are you hosting a nonprofit event in Truckee in 2025? Tomorrow, Friday, November 15 at 5:00 p.m. is the deadline to apply for the 2025 application cycle for the Truckee Core Values Event Fund. This community event fund, established by the Truckee Chamber and the Town of Truckee and administered by the Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation, is designed to support local nonprofits in the region or events that partner with nonprofit organizations by providing essential marketing resources for local-focused events.

Events must align with at least one of the five Truckee Core Values:

Healthy Lifestyle
Family-Friendly
Natural Beauty
Community-Minded
Arts, Culture, and History

Events must take place within Truckee Town Limits in 2025. Apply until 5:00 p.m. tomorrow, November 15, 2024 through the TAHOE TRUCKEE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION'S ONLINE GRANT SYSTEM.
