Lexis is having an event geared towards student organizations and journals next Wednesday. Please stop by if you can make it! Details below:

Lexis Tips ‎& ‎Prizes ‎- ‎Learn About New Features‎

Are you in a LWR class‎? ‎Are you part of a student organization‎? ‎Are you part of ‎a journal‎? ‎

If so‎, ‎please join us for a short gathering where your Lexis Representatives will show you some of our new features that may help you develop your research and ‎writing‎ skills!

Just for attending, each student will earn 300 Lexis Points (350 points = $5 amazon gift card!). In addition to the points, we will also be giving out over $150 in gift cards! (BONUS: The student organization/journal with the most members in attendance will also be awarded a special prize!)

The event will take place on Wednesday, November 7 from 3:30 to 4 in Room K.

Prepare to Practice Training

Are you concerned about how to use Lexis during your summer job? Have questions about commercial pricing, billback, and cost-effective research? We got you covered!

During this training we will cover Practical Skills such as how to use Lexis Practice Advisor, how to find Forms and how to locate examples of Briefs, Pleadings and Motions.

We will also touch on "real world" Lexis- commercial pricing, billback and cost-effective research. Stainless tumblers, 400 points and food- you know how we like to do it!

Now that you've finished your Moot Court brief, make sure it's ready to turn in. Learn how to double check your citations, find any major cases you may have missed, and create a perfect Table of Authorities using the new Microsoft Office tool from Lexis!
