And that’s a wrap on Climate Week 2024! Spent an incredible week in NYC, where so much happened and progress was made.

🎉 On Monday The Alliance for Tribal Clean Energy’s Indigenous Power & Light Fund for Energy Sovereignty was selected for a Clinton Global Initiative Commitment to Action!

✨ On Tuesday, we hosted a warm and beautiful launch party to celebrate this milestone, surrounded by amazing supporters and allies.

🔋 Wednesday brought insightful discussions at Investing in Our Future - The 10 Year Promise of the IRA panel.

🍾 The week ended with a series of receptions and events hosted by our incredible partners – a perfect way to cap off this meaningful week.

And, of course, as usual, I didn’t get any photos of myself 😅, but what an amazing time connecting, strategizing, and celebrating the future of clean energy!

Had an amazing time at the Goldman Environmental Prize ceremony last night with Evelyn Arce- Erickson and Kamal El-Wattar.
One important conversation I had at the reception acknowledged that even though the prize is awarded to individual people, it really takes an entire community and movement to bring about change. Every recipient echoed this in their acceptance speeches, and the sense of community was definitely palpable among attendees.

Without a doubt, the highlight of my summer was facilitating the Executive Advisory Council meeting for the in Northern Ireland.

Over the course of five days I facilitated workshops that led Executive Advisory Council Members through a series of highly collaborative, structured activities that addressed ETC’s highest priority needs. In the afternoons, Executive Advisory Council Members were taken on tours of the city and surrounding towns. Every day, the location of the meeting changed – from conference rooms to castles to apple orchards – and was usually preceded by a long bus ride through windy country roads and followed by a hearty Irish lunch. The uniquely immersive format of the meeting – facilitated workshops in the morning followed by well-curated immersive touring in the afternoon and diverse dining experiences in the evening – allowed Executive Advisory Council Members to bond with one another, to reflect on the morning’s activities, and to seek inspiration from the novel surroundings.
Case Study is up on my website. Thank you to and for sponsoring this incredible gathering! And thank you for the photos!

So excited about my 2-page spread in the Fall edition of Travel Advisor Magazine. Pick up a copy or go online to learn more about the five mistakes to avoid when planning impact trips. One of the common ones I see is separating VIPs from the rest of the group for some exclusive experience. My advice: "Don’t treat your VIPs different than the rest - treat them all like VIPs."

“We are moving from ‘inclusion’ to ‘belonging.’ We don’t want to sit at the table where you sat previously - we want to co-create our own table.”

Great hearing Raj Kumar of Devex speak at the Global Washington Conference. My favorite takeaway:
“We are moving from good intentions to good results. Charity has already been designed around the giver. It’s not about ‘our dream’ anymore - it’s about achieving results for others.”
