Ground Floor Public Affairs

Ground Floor Public Affairs We're a community outreach and government relations firm. Who we are: Ground Floor Public Affairs is a community outreach and government relations firm.

At Ground Floor, we believe that real solutions emerge through strong relationships. For 20 years, we have worked within government and managed successful political campaigns. We bring together government, business, and community to find common ground and leverage resources, creativity and vision to get the job done for our clients. What we do: We build brand awareness for corporations and nonprof

it organizations. We create coalitions in support of positive change for our clients and the community. We also work with entrepreneurs seeking to update regulations that stifle innovation. Our objective is to connect you with the people you need to know to achieve your goals, while creating a tangible benefit for the communities where you live and work. We pride ourselves on being nimble, responsive and giving you the personal attention you deserve. You have an idea, we realize it. You have a message, we deliver it. You have a crisis, we get you through it. We believe that government, business and the community can all succeed while benefiting the greater good. Strong relationships. Real solutions.

As Women’s History Month comes to a close, we’re sharing advice from the women of Ground Floor for those entering public affairs and adjacent fields.

We asked: What piece of advice would you give women entering this field? Here’s what they had to say.

San Francisco showed up for mental health.

The San Francisco Giants and the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation unveiled Fibers of Life at China Basin Park, a breathtaking public heart sculpture created by The Apexer, a Bayview artist whose work is as rooted in this city as the communities it serves.

This is what it looks like when sport, public health, and art come together around a shared purpose and shed a light on mental health. Ground Floor is proud to work alongside both organizations and grateful to witness the impact they continue to make for San Francisco.

Congratulations to the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation on a powerful Hearts in SF 2026 gala.

Their work ensures that 1 in 8 San Franciscans receive care each year at Zuckerberg San Francisco General, advancing health equity and strengthening our city’s public health system.

Proud to support our client and the life-saving impact they make every day.

"The Tenderloin is sort of the heart and soul of the city. You can't have a successful San Francisco without a successful Tenderloin." -Chris Larsen, Philanthropist and Executive Chairman of Ripple, Inc.

Chris Larsen, Mayor Daniel Lurie, Supervisor Bilal Mahmood, the SF Office of Economic & Workforce Development, and the Tenderloin Community Benefit District recently announced a public-private partnership to revitalize Larkin Street in the Tenderloin. Through Chris Larsen’s generous $5 million investment, two blocks of Larkin Street will see improved lighting, enhanced street cleaning, new security gates, and expanded cultural programming.

Ground Floor was honored to support this effort alongside two incredible clients: TLCBD and Chris Larsen.

Last night, our client sf.citiconvened San Francisco’s tech and civic leaders for its annual holiday gathering—creating space to reflect on a year defined by innovation, economic momentum, and sustained investment in downtown recovery. The evening also offered an opportunity to recognize longtime sf.citi Board Chair Rebecca Prozan for her leadership and for strengthening collaboration between the tech community and San Francisco’s civic and elected leaders.

We’re encouraged by sf.citi’s continued role in convening cross-sector voices during a meaningful moment for the city.

Our team members Hailey and Thomas spent an evening last week at the Silver SPUR Awards at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, where elected officials and leaders from across the business, civic, and philanthropic communities gathered to honor four remarkable individuals whose work continues to strengthen the Bay Area. Congratulations to this year’s honorees, and thank you to SPUR for hosting another inspiring and engaging event.

Our client, the San Francisco Giants and the Giants Community Fund, are partnering with the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department to renovate the Crocker Amazon Baseball & Softball Fields — replacing aging, flood-prone diamonds with safer, high-quality fields, upgraded lighting, improved amenities, and new community spaces for local youth and families to enjoy year-round.

Join the public meeting on Wednesday, Nov 12, 6–8 pm at June Jordan High School Auditorium (325 La Grande Ave, SF) to show your support, and add your name to the petition at:
