Throwback to 2014!

This week, we’re going way back to when Appstem partnered with an early-stage startup called KeyMe to build its mobile apps.

The concept was pretty revolutionary at the time - users could take a picture of their key with their phone, create a digital copy, and order a physical replacement whenever they needed one.

KeyMe even offered an emergency service in New York. If you were locked out, you could request a new physical key and have it delivered to you within an hour.

Fast-forward to today, and you’ve probably seen KeyMe’s robotic locksmith kiosks in major retail locations across the country.

This week for in throwback series, we’re going back to 2018, when Appstem partnered with Creator Burger, one of San Francisco’s hottest startups, to help bring the future of dining to life.

Creator developed a robotic kitchen that could cook burgers to each customer’s exact specifications. In 2018, they opened a fully autonomous restaurant in San Francisco’s SoMa district and needed a mobile platform that allowed customers to customize their order, place it, and pay - all from their phone.
