BOMA Life Safety Seminar
This BOMA San Francisco event brought together leaders for an important conversation about community safety—and Marina Security Services was proud to sponsor it.
Community safety is close to our hearts, so being part of this event meant a great deal to our team.
Full credit goes to the Life Safety Committee for planning and presenting the seminar. Our own Ben Haring serves on the committee and was glad to help bring it all together.
It was a privilege to hear from Police Chief Derrick Lew, Fire Chief Dean Crispen, Deputy Chief James Dudley (Ret.), and Chief Greg Suhr (Ret.). Their insights into the work underway to make San Francisco safer for everyone who lives and works here were incredibly valuable.

Marina Security Services is proud to recognize Kristina Jones with a Spotlight Award

When a fire broke out near the building where Kristina is assigned, she did not hesitate. She quickly grabbed two fire extinguishers and worked to contain the fire until the fire department arrived on scene. Her quick thinking and decisive action prevented significant damage to the property.

Strong shifts start with strong handoffs.

Shift change isn't just routine; it's a promise to stay prepared, accountable, and to show up with professional excellence every time.
A great handoff keeps the whole team informed and ready to act. Reviewing communications, pass-down notes, and operational updates ensures every officer starts their shift knowing exactly what's happening: current conditions, emerging concerns, and top priorities. Clear briefings between outgoing and incoming safety ambassadors close gaps, ensure continuity, and keep nothing from falling through the cracks. When the process works, the team works. That means a safer, more secure workplace for everyone we protect.

Every update matters. Every handoff counts. Every shift begins with communication.

We were proud to sponsor AARAP's Juneteenth celebration, and our team came out in full force to show our support.

We strongly believe in giving back to the communities that have helped us succeed, and this was a meaningful way to do so. It was our first time participating in an AARAP event, but it definitely won't be our last. Their commitment to community and mentorship was tangible and genuinely inspiring.

A special thank you to Ebony Horace for the warm welcome and for all the work that went into making the event a success. It did not go unnoticed.
