In case no one has noticed, I’m reconnecting with my deep roots in B&W photography. 😊 Many images are better in this medium because they have a moodiness that eludes color, and the lack of distraction from competing colors focuses one’s attention on the subject. Alethea is a superb dancer who is actually en pointe in this pose, but I cropped the image to bring your attention to her as she overlooks the Golden Gate and San Francisco. Normally, a dance photographer would never crop out a ballerina’s feet, but sometimes Its fun to break “the rules”! 💃: .c123
