On Tuesday, TBWBH helped pass two parcel taxes that will provide critical funding for teachers and schools. Berryessa Union School District passed Measure A, a no-tax increase that will help support teacher and library/media technicians positions for local elementary and middle schools. Los Gatos Union School District passed Measure B, which renewed and increased existing local funding to keep 23 high-quality teachers in the classroom.

We are proud to have helped the Berryessa and Los Gatos school districts secure this funding, with both measures passing with over 70% support from the community!

The Berryessa and Los Gatos Union school districts will continue to receive funds for teachers and other services thanks to two tax extensions.

This fall, Measures A & B are on the Santa Clara County Ballot to extend existing Parcel Tax funding for two of our school district clients: Berryessa Union School District and Los Gatos Union School District (LGUSD). A big thank you to all our School Board Members Thelma Boac, Kansen Chu, Hugo Jimenez, Jai Srinivasan and Khoa Nguyen (BUSD); Stephen Parsons, Courtney Monk, John Kuntzmann, Peter Noymer and Daniel Snyder (LGUSD) and their respective Superintendents Dr. Roxane Fuentes and Paul Johnson for your hard work and collaboration as we work to protect these critical sources of funding for local schools.

The California School Boards Association is right: civil behavior is a must at school board meetings… democracy is about civil disagreement.

“…School board members have been accosted, verbally abused, physically assaulted, and subjected to death threats against themselves and their family members… In just the past month alone, we have seen a Sacramento-area school board forced to abandon its board room through the back door when the meeting was rendered unsafe because of the actions of protestors… In San Bernardino and Madera counties and elsewhere, boards were forced to prematurely adjourn meetings in the face of raucous disruptions."

"This is unacceptable."

Excited to see improvements coming to Napa streets, thanks to the passage of Measure T in 2012!

We look forward to following the progress of these projects over the next 12 months and beyond.

Fresh pavement, new wheelchair ramps and automatic traffic-signal management are among the fixes to Napa streets set to be covered by sales tax revenue over the next 12 months.

Officials broke ground on a new affordable housing complex in Redwood City today, thanks to funding from Measure K passed in 2016.
