It would be so easy to move on from relationships, work, or housing situation - if everything about them was bad.

But that is not how things work.

We have to let go of a bunch of good stuff in the process.

The laughs or the fun or the depth we had with the person...

The money or the safety or the people in our work...

The view or the kitchen or the location of that house...

And that is what makes it so hard, and where we get tripped up.

“Oh but this part is so good and I can’t bear to not have it, so I’ll stay a little longer.”

Meanwhile, being in the situation is literally torturing us and making us miserable half the time.

The truth is that life is not actually about making a bunch of compromises, despite what some people claim.

It only works that way if we refuse to let go of the good to get to the great -

The truly aligned! The real deal yes.

Once we admit that something isn’t “for us” that’s when the real work begins.
..Of releasing and mourning what we loved so much about it, and opening to the unimaginably awesome possibilities of what comes next (especially when we don’t know!)

No. I’m an artist, not a parrot. 🦜

I wasn’t born to spit out your script, to follow your rules or conform with the norms.

I’m here to say something you haven’t already heard 1000 times.

Whether it lights up your life or makes you seethe with rage.

I care about lots of things but the muse only asks me to sing or write about a select few.

I don’t owe anyone anything and I’ll say whatever feels right in my soul (and stay silent about the rest).

That’s also why you won’t find me pasting recycled AI drivel into my shares and passing it off as original thought.

I’ve got what I’ve got, and I’ll share what I dare to care about through my art.

And that is all. ✨

🪐🏺CH-CH-CHANGES: SATURN FLOWS INTO AQUARIUS (A VEDIC ASTROLOGY UPDATE)🏺🪐

2.5 years ago, Saturn collided with Jupiter in Capricorn and set off a series of events that brought us a global pandemic, war, civil unrest, a market crash and a major political “changing-of-the-guard.”
⠀
… As well as quantum leaps in medical tech & AI, major shifts in how we use social media & the emergence of a few new mega platforms.
⠀
This once-in-every-20-years occurrence ushered us into a new era, ie. where nothing will ever fully go back to “normal.”
⠀
It’s been an intense, wild ride. One for the history books.
⠀
And that’s just on the macro level.
⠀
On the micro level, we confronted our discomfort in quarantine:
⠀
Friendships and romantic relationships were created and destroyed, our daily habits changed drastically, priorities shifted, major career changes took place.
⠀
Of course these things always happen, but this time it was en masse, and all at once.
⠀
We were all squeezed into a new alignment with reality.
⠀
And now it’s time for the next chapter.
⠀
♒️ On January 17, Saturn makes another move, this time into Airy Aquarius, a sign represented by a pot that contains… things.
⠀
A sign that wants to gather, amass, collect and gain… especially knowledge and skills.
⠀
A sign that is in the 11th house of the natural zodiac, representing investments, societies, networks, and entertainment.
⠀
… Which is potentially lighter fare than Saturn’s previous romp through the shadows of the 10th house:

Authority, government, large organizations, the workplace and our fundamental sense of security (to name a few).
⠀
We know what happened then. What will happen now?
⠀
🪐Radical shifts in the market?
⠀
🪐Dismantling of age-old societies?
⠀
🪐The fall of a social network(s)?
⠀
🪐A virtual reality / AI explosion in the entertainment industry?
⠀
One thing we know for sure: Where Saturn goes, major change flows.
⠀
Globally and personally.
⠀
We can get ready for the end of one set of problems and the start of new set of challenges.

“Do you love marketing,” she asked me?

I was confronted. One year into being a solopreneur with a Vedic Astrology practice, I thought that marketing sacred esoteric wisdom was unethical.

I could barely cobble together a post or a landing page without fear of being judged as too salesy - or a sell-out.

I’d sit down for hours - days- poring over potential emails I could *maybe* share to promote my business.

And if I did share them?

*chirpchirp* crickets.

“I can’t market my business,” I replied, followed by a litany of believable reasons why this was true.

I was earning about 15% of what I needed to make ends meet.

I continued along like this until one day, my corporate career savings ran out and I had to do something about it.

I realized I had to find a way to promote my practice while staying in integrity with myself.

I had to get better and faster at writing marketing copy.

I frantically reviewed all the copywriting and marketing wisdom I had learned over the decades.

Started analyzing what worked for spiritual business owners I admired.

And got to work.

It took me many years, but I taught myself how to repeatedly and consistently write clear copy that touches people.

My practice filled up. I got inspired to teach a life purpose course. It filled up.

I started another business with a cofounder. We made multiple millions.

And so I began teaching my unique copywriting and marketing approach to spiritual/creative entrepreneurs — who desire to maintain a certain aesthetic and be compensated handsomely for their work.

My writing has now created over $3.5 million in sales + consistent multiple 5-figure months, and that’s not counting the millions in financial flow that these skills created for my clients.

In fact, people tell me all the time that my marketing posts are the only ones they read.

I’m honored. I love being in service this way. What a win-win.

I was recently hosted by Paul Ross Kerzner for his "Are You Being Present?" podcast series. The title and topic of this podcast is "Gaining Presence Astrologically" and was chosen because of the profound effect astrology can have on a your life and your ability to be present. Whether you've had your chart read professionally, or have been a little skeptical, this podcast will provide some helpful information and insight about astrology and presence.

At the beginning of the podcast the topic of "free will" comes up when Paul shares his belief that humans can alter their life path by making certain decisions. I explain that free will, more so the amount a person has, is a hot topic in the world of astrology. One of the interesting facets of Vedic Astrology is to help identify where a person has a lot of free will and to show areas where there might not be as much.

Later in the podcast I spend some time talking about my first experiences with astrology and how I decided to become a Vedic Astrologer. I also discussed the full moon and lunar eclipse and what effects might be taking place due to this specific alignment.

~ WHAT NOT TO DO DURING MERCURY RETROGRADE ~

Today, Mercury goes retrograde, so I've compiled this handy list of what NOT to do for the next 4 weeks:

1) Warn all of your friends that it's Mercury Retrograde and to hide in a cave for the next month. This is a frequently occurring astrological event that actually makes Mercury stronger. This will benefit many people who are deeply affected by Mercury and have it in patterns that bring success, money, brilliance, etc.

2) Stop signing contacts, doing launches, and starting new things: During Mercury Retrograde, it could be one of the very best times to sign a contact or start something new. Today, when Mercury is barely moving, or later this month, when Mercury gets too close to the Sun and the Moon gets dark, that'll be a different story, but the point is that Mercury being in Retrograde, on its own, has no negative impact the success of a contract or new beginning! Personally I love launching things during Mercury Retrograde because there is less competition. ;)

3) Avoid technology because it will break down. The fact that your computer or phone may act up during a Mercury Retrograde likely has absolutely nothing to do with Mercury Retrograde. There are plenty of other reasons why this could be happening, but this isn't likely to be one of them. There is no need to fear your computer, phone or any other technological system because of this event.

Astrological transits can be very helpful in identifying good/challenging times to take that new step, sign that contract, or engage with new technology so you can have the best results, but they need to be combined with your individual birth chart. It's much more effective to get a personalized reading than it is to read general astrology events and try to interpret them for your own life!

SATURN IS ON THE MOVE

A major astrological event that will affect everyone is coming in January.

It only happens every 3 years and it’s guaranteed to create surprising change in at least one significant area of your life (like your home, relationship, family, career, identity...)

On the flip side, it also means that a part of your life that has been going through constant upheaval since November 2014 may finally calm down.

There’s nothing more powerful than knowing what to expect ahead of time so that you can prepare for it, both mentally and physically, especially when it involves big transitions. This is one reason why Vedic Astrology is so useful!
