Meet Jessica of

Nestled in the Santa Cruz Mountains, Jessica is a flower farmer and floral designer growing specialty heirloom blooms on just two acres of land. Alongside her family, she raises rare Navajo Churro sheep and stewards the earth with care. Every stem she harvests carries a story of soil, season, and intention.

From the rows outside her farmhouse to the abundant blooms she brings to our .la market, Jessica’s work reflects a deep love for beauty, nature, and community. She reminds us that flowers are more than decoration - they’re connection, memory, and magic.

As Jessica writes, each season teaches us to shed old petals and begin again, carrying forward only love, compassion, and joy.

Here’s to farms like Laurel Canyon: small but mighty, full of color, care, and heart. 💛

Drop some love in the comments if you’d walk these rows with Jessica, or share this with someone who could use a little flower joy today.

We’re nearing the end of summer and stepping into the autumnal equinox. That means a fresh shift in the fields and in design work, with the start of chrysanthemum season leading the way. Can you tell we’re excited?

Farmers, thank you for the bounty you’re bringing in. Florists, get ready for the stems that set the tone for fall.

Market Feature: at .la

Before sunrise on market days, Adrienne is already at work - sorting, curating, and presenting the seasonal flowers that define Gather Flora’s Los Angeles market. Her role is essential to the experience: connecting growers with florists, and ensuring each stem finds its way into the hands of designers who share a commitment to local, sustainable beauty. We’re so grateful for her support.

Beyond her work at the market, Adrienne is a florist whose designs speak to a painter’s eye: modern in form, layered in color, and rooted in a deep understanding of texture and movement. Her background in visual art continues to shape her approach to floral composition in ways that feel both intuitive and intentional.

She reflects on that connection:

“Working with flowers and other organics has changed the way I approach design and artistic expression. My paintings always felt personified, like they come alive and grow into their own person as they reach a finishing point. This feeling is even more present within my floral work. Sometimes there’s a small bug, a seashell, or a fragment of material caught in a bunch that hints at the flower’s journey to me. These moments root me back to the world I live in and my childhood love for nature. There’s a freedom in the impermanence of floral work. Flowers have helped me connect more deeply to the spaces around me, my creativity, and myself. It’s a process that consistently brings me to new places in my mind, teaching me to let go.”

Adrienne’s work is a study in presence and impermanence, with arrangements that feel alive, yet unafraid to move on. From her early mornings at the market to the compositions she creates, her perspective brings a distinct artistry to everything she touches.
