I had been experiencing Chronic Tension Migraine’s for seven months straight and I felt completely hopeless.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I didn’t know what to do moving forward and it felt like they were never going to go away.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
During those seven months, I had gotten...⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

1. Start small! Often we get so excited about trying something new, we want to go ALL in or nothing⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. When starting out, workout once or twice that first week and slowly work your way up by one workout a week⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Listen to your body: Take a rest day when you’re sore or fatigued⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4. Hydrate: Drink at least 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water a day, 3/4 if you worked out that day⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

She has been there for me through thick and thin, through my lightest and darkest moments. I wouldn’t be the person I am without her.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Last year when COVID hit, I got laid off at the end of March. I was scared, hopeless, and heartbroken because I absolutely loved my job. I was helping manage a CorePower Yoga in the East Bay.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A couple weeks after I got laid of, Jen gave me a call to check in and brought up the idea of me getting my Health Coach certification. There was no pressure around it but she persuaded me to look into it.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Long story short, I ended up signing up that day and it was the best decision I’ve made in my entire life. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Whether it’s health coaching, teaching yoga, or coaching swim, it’s all about connection. I have found that through connection that everything we accomplish in life is much more fulfilling when we help others along the way.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Pesto & Meatballs⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✰ Beyond Meat⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✰ Trader Joe’s Yellow Lentil & Brown Rice Spaghetti⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✰ Trader Joe’s Vegan Pesto (2)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✰ Nutritional Yeast⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✰ Italian Seasoning⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✰ Dry Basil⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✰ Onion Powder⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✰ Garlic Powder⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

1. Boil six cups of water in a pot, once bubbling, throw in pasta⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Put Beyond Meat in a bowl and add in a tablespoon of nutritional yeast & a teaspoon of each - Italian seasoning, dry basil, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Mix together with your hands & roll into meatballs.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
4. Put skillet on medium heat, cook meatballs for seven minutes, and add in both containers of pesto during the two minutes.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
5. Once pasta is cooked, drain, and add into skillet.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
6. Scoop into bowls, add a sprinkle of nutritional yeast, and salt & pepper to taste.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Habits are automated behaviors. Many of the habits in which we live our lives are efficient ways of behaving, saving us time and energy.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Some habits are health promoting and then there are those ingrained habits that are health destroying and have a severe negative impact on our level of wellness.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My primary focus in my program is on behavior or habit change. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
