FACEBOOK fed its AI on almost everything you've posted publicly since '07...
Meta has acknowledged that all text and photos that adult Facebook and Instagram users have publicly published since 2007 have been fed into its artificial intelligence models. Australia’s ABC News reports that Meta’s global privacy director, Melinda Claybaugh, initially rejected claims about user data from 2007 being leveraged for AI training during a local government inquiry about AI adoption before relenting after additional questioning.

Free Life

An excerpt. We really need a clinic of memories, as Georgi Gosdopinov writes in his novel Chronorifugio , where people go to recover memories lost in time or in people's heads. If I had to choose my favorite decade to relive, as happens to people in Gosdopinov's novel, I would choose without hesitation the first one I lived in. Because it's the oldest, the most distantly experienced, the most different from today, wrapped in the mythical aura of childhood when you don't know where reality ends and where the fairy tale begins, through fantasy. It dates back to a primitive era, still without TV and household appliances, used recently and by a few pioneers. The key to opening that fabulous drawer, beyond the enchantment of life seen through the magic eyes of childhood - the primordial discovery of things, the charm of the first time of everything, the pleasure of discovering yourself in the world and conquering a piece of life and knowledge every day - is the open sesame of that magic time, that place, that world that no longer exists: free life.
It is life within reach , outdoors, without price and without pretensions, simple and generous, free, where everything is accessible to everyone: the refreshment of the fountains, the rest of the benches, the public garden, the fruit hanging from the trees, the carob trees offered by the branches to the wayfarers, the stream in which you wash yourself and your clothes, the games played with what you have available, without tools, plus the imagination of a rule or an object that you easily build with your own hands; and then the free sea, like the woods and the countryside. Are you thirsty? You don't go to the bar but you drink at the fountain, and even at home you don't buy mineral water but you draw from the pumps and streams. The fountains in the summer were crowded meeting places, people drinking, filling jugs, washing their feet, where children are rushed in their water games to make the adults drink. Are you hungry for a snack? You pick a fruit from the tree and eat it; as long as it is a fruit you can also pick it from a tree that belongs to someone, you are not plundering it, it is not a sin. In fact, the opposite would be true, not giving drink to the thirsty and food to the hungry, as we were taught. Do you want to rest? There is no need to order something at a table, you sit on the bench, as they still do, especially the old people in the village and you wait, you wait for the time to pass, the heat, the tiredness. When you are old, time is long and life is short; the opposite of young people, for whom the hours pass quickly but the years ahead are many.

I ricordi dormono accanto a noi. A volte è bello svegliarli e svegliarsi con loro. Si apre un mondo che credevi di non conoscere, invece ci vivevi dentro, e

Acting is not only hard, but to do it so badly, to be high school amateurs of the Theatre of Cruelty, to have the act self mock like again a high school play with Donald Trump unfazed-78, obese, just shot, presumably fully vaccinated not only pumping his fist with Iwo Jima in the background BUT ALLOWED FOR PHOTO OP to do so. This could be Mel Brooks directed with script by Hunter Thompson. Fear and Loathing 2024 and Ibocaine,. on May 11, 1972, Thompson gave the campaign a jolt, filing a speculative story through a primitive version of a fax machine he called the Mojo Wire. Describing Muskie as a competitive political animal who would never back away from a challenge, Thompson couldn’t understand why the senator had suddenly become rigid and unresponsive—seeming to read directly from a script—but he took one hilarious shot at figuring it out.

“Not much has been written about the Ibogaine Effect as a serious factor in the presidential campaign,” Thompson wrote in an article he later claimed was never meant to be taken at face value. In it, he declares, “word leaked out that some of Muskie’s top advisers called in a Brazilian doctor who was said to be treating the candidate with ‘some kind of strange drug.”

The evidence just is and was not there (never there) to support mask use for asymptomatic people to stop viral spread during a pandemic. Certainly, during the COVID pandemic. While the evidence may seem conflicted, the evidence (including the peer-reviewed evidence) actually does not support its use and leans heavily toward masks having no significant impact (no impact) in stopping spread of the Covid virus.
In fact, it is/was not unreasonable at this time (and 3 years ago) to conclude that surgical and cloth masks, used as they currently are/were, have/had absolutely no impact on controlling the transmission of Covid-19 virus, and current evidence implies that face masks can be actually harmful. All this to say and as so comprehensively documented by Dr. Roger W. Koops in a recent American Institute of Economic Research (AIER) publication, there is no clear scientific evidence that masks (surgical or cloth) work to mitigate risk to the wearer or to those coming into contact with the wearer, as they are currently worn in everyday life and specifically as we refer to Covid-19.
