Steinway & Sons mourns the loss of Steinway Artist Menahem Pressler, co-founder of the Beaux Arts Trio in 1955. Having fled Germany with his family in 1938, a traumatized Pressler experienced an epiphany in Tel Aviv when he fainted during a piano lesson while playing Beethoven’s Op. 110, realizing (as revealed in a 2008 interview with The Guardian): “Yes, my life is worth living.” And live he did, passing away at the age of 99 and leaving a rich legacy of chamber music stewardship among his many listeners and of mentorship among his many students.

Recently Joan had the pleasure of working with a great guy at Apple on an animated short film called "The Interview". It was even more exciting when our actors booked every role, and later found out that the film was so well received that it was one of the winners at the Apple Short Film Festival, beating out hundreds of other original short films!! Wow!
