The vineyard is a family estate located in the Red Hills Appellation at elevations over 1800 feet. The 70 acre estate focuses on producing wines from the grape varietals of Southern France's Rhone and Bordeaux regions. Translated to “submarine” in Italian, Sottomarino Winery is housed in a submarine-like training vessel with breathtaking views of the Bay Bridge and the San Francisco Bay waterfront. Sottomarino is focused on Italian varietals made using old-world winemaking techniques that are meant to be enjoyed with friends, family and food.
