Opus One vs. Caymus : have you tried one or the other? Both?

The primary difference between Opus One vs. Caymus is that Opus One wines are more herbaceous than Caymus wines, which tend to be fruit-forward. Opus One tastes of earth, herbs, cigar box, and pepper. Caymus tastes of dark chocolate, cherry, to***co, and baking spices.

Opus One also lends to a somewhat higher price tag and a longer aging potential (20-30 years vs. 10-15 years).

If you're relatively new to wine collecting, you may be wondering what a drinking window is.

A fine wine's drinking window is the optimum period during which a wine is judged to be at the peak of its maturity and at its very best to drink.

The ability of a wine to improve in quality as it ages is dependent upon:

▪️the grape varietal
▪️ vintage conditions
▪️ storage conditions

Can you make $ selling wine? Absolutely!

The main thing to keep in mind when you sell wine is that wine usually gains slowly in value over time. This means it could take as long as a decade (or more) to see the highest profits from a specific vintage. However, as a luxury good that’s in high demand and can sell for thousands of dollars, it’s often worth the wait.

Are you a drinker, collector, or investor? Or some combination?
