We are so excited to attend tonight's annual Alumni Dinner hosted by the UC Law SF Llsa students! Join us to celebrate this year's honorees:

The event will start with a cocktail hour from 5:30PM to 7:00PM at the Skydeck (333 Golden Gate Ave., not the Tower) followed by an hour-long program at 200 McAllister St. in the Alumni Resource Center (ARC). LLSA will also announce the Jeanette M. Acosta '16 Memorial Scholarship recipient.

The UC Law SF Latinx Law Student Association (LLSA)—formerly UC Hastings La Raza Law Students Association and Chicano Law Students Association—is excited to host our annual Alumni Dinner in the new Auditorium to reconnect with alumni and thank them for their ongoing support.

The Justice Wiley W. Manuel Center for Scholarly Publications dedication ceremony is this coming Thursday, February 29 at 3:30 p.m. on campus.

Remarks will be given by California Supreme Court Justice Kelli Evans, United States Eastern District of California Judge Troy Nunley ‘90, UC Law SF Board of Directors Member Andrew Houston, Sr. ’07, UC Law SF Chancellor & Dean David Faigman, UC Law SF Black Alumni Council Co-President Regina V. Evans ‘92, and California Association of Black Lawyers Board Member Ryan Harrison Sr. ’14.

The Center, home to the school’s nine scholarly law journals, is located at the recently opened Academe at 198. This state-of-the-art facility named after Justice Wiley W. Manuel ’53 (dec.) recognizes a stellar legal career culminating in his appointment as the first African American associate justice of the Supreme Court of the State of California.

While at UC Law, Justice Manuel excelled receiving his degree with Order of the Coif honors and where he also served as Editor-in-Chief of the Hastings Law Journal, now UC Law Journal. Justice Manuel was born in Oakland, California.

The City Attorney of San Francisco’s Office is launching its inaugural Law Fellow Program which will provide a unique and rewarding one-year professional opportunity for a recent law school graduate to gain exposure to and direct experience in a specific aspect of municipal law practice.
