UC Law San Francisco LEOP Alumni Association

UC Law San Francisco LEOP Alumni Association LEOP has made a legal education accessible to students from adverse backgrounds since 1969.

Under the leadership of then UC Hastings College of the Law Dean Arthur Sammis, the Minority Admissions Program was launched in the fall of 1969 with an initial class of 40 students. Later renamed to Legal Education Opportunity Program (LEOP), the program increased minority enrollment from just 14 students to 140 in its first three years! LEOP continues to be one of its kind to make legal educatio

n accessible to students from adverse backgrounds. Sources:
