Thrilled to share some exciting news!

Yesterday, Mohit and I (MoAloo Ventures) had the pleasure of meeting with the incredible BoomBox team, and we were absolutely blown away by their progress in just a few months.

Back in April at TechXpedition Babcock Ranch Startup Challenge 2024, Abraham (from FGCU) walked in with just an idea, won the competition, and earned our investment. Fast-forward to today—he has assembled a talented team and is on the brink of launching the BoomBox app on the App Store.

We had the opportunity to meet the entire team over dinner, and it was a fantastic experience. Mohit and I are deeply committed to building a strong team culture, and this gathering was our way of thanking everyone for their hard work, dedication, and belief in the concept.

BoomBox, with its mission to connect music lovers near and far, is poised to be a game changer, and we can’t wait to see the final product in action.

Today, I attended the Welcome Reception and Town Hall event for Dr. Aysegul Timur, the new President of Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU). The event was held at the Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center in Punta Gorda, Florida. It was organized by Charlotte County Commissioner Bill Truex, the Charlotte County Chamber of Commerce, the Punta Gorda Chamber of Commerce, and the Charlotte County Economic Development Office.

A palpable sense of excitement and anticipation was in the air as we awaited Dr. Timur’s address. Her enthusiasm and passion were immediately evident when Dr. Timur took the stage for the Town Hall session. She spoke eloquently about her vision for FGCU, emphasizing the importance of collaboration with local businesses and community organizations. Her strategic plans for the university, focusing on educational excellence and community engagement, were particularly inspiring. Dr. Timur’s commitment to fostering a strong partnership between the university and the local community resonated deeply with me and many others in attendance.

Hearing Dr. Timur’s vision for the university’s future left me feeling inspired and optimistic about the positive impact she will undoubtedly have on FGCU and the broader community.
