Two Half Moon Bay mushroom farms face up to $165,000 in Cal-OSHA penalties following the agency’s investigation into a deadly active shooter incident last February.

Cal-OSHA alleges that employers failed to “effectively identify and evaluate” the hazard of an active shooter and failed to notify employees on the day of the incident that there was an active shooter and to avoid the location and seek shelter, remove all exposed employees, or have procedures to seek physical protection if employees were unable to evacuate.

Open Enrollment: Fall Protection Competent Person and Post-Fall Rescue Course
Competent Person (JUN 13,14) and PFR (JUN15) in San Jose, California

Do you have employees that work at height? Then we recommend attending this course.

OSHA requires a person trained as a Fall Protection Competent Person (FPCP) to inspect all fall protection equipment at least annually (Cal-OSHA every 6 months). ANSI requires fall protection training to be provided by a FPCP.

This course will train students on how to provide fall protection training to authorized persons, develop a written fall protection program, and develop a Post Fall Rescue (PFR) plan.
