I’ll make a bet.
Your jobsite WiFi password is the project name, the current year, and an exclamation point.
Something like: WestEnd2026!
Sound familiar?
The problem isn’t just that the password is easy to guess. It’s that everyone has it.
Subcontractors. Inspectors. Vendors. Delivery drivers. By the third week of the project, half the city seems to know the password.
And so do the people sitting outside the jobsite looking for an easy target.
Here’s where it gets dangerous:
If your project files, plans, and business systems are connected to the same network as your public WiFi, anyone who gains access has a potential path to your critical data.
That’s why every jobsite should have two completely separate networks:
One for guests.
One for business operations.
A simple change that can prevent a very expensive problem.
