Our exterior stonework (patios, bannisters, wall, walkways and balconies) had not been sealed properly when it was installed and we had not known how to maintain it adequately. And with last years extra heavy rain our stonework had gotten so bad that it was covered with green and even black blotches and some chips and cracks were beginning to appear. To top it off, our pool person had put chemicals in our fountain to dampen the algae growth there. Unfortunately, whatever chemicals they used had the result of eating away at the stone, leaving a real mess. We thought that our stonework might be beyond repair and that we might have to just live with very unattractive stonework. But then we were referred to David Bonasera at Dave The Marble Guy Environmentally Safe Products and Procedures (ESP) by the people at Millbrook Stone, a very top quality stone company. We read reviews on Dave'sESP's work and met with him and a couple of other possible providers. David was head and shoulders better than the others in both knowledge and his apparent commitment to quality. So we selected ESP for our stone work and are very, very happy that we did.Dave and his whole team did an outstanding job. They are very knowledgeable and knew exactly how best to clean, densify and seal our stone so that it looks like new. They also were a delight to work with. And, most impressive, they were able to actually bring our fountain back to its original look and condition. We have been both very pleasantly surprised and delighted by the results that David and his team have delivered. Our stonework was cleaned back to its original appearance and densified and sealed to protect it going forward. Our fountain presented a particular set of challenges and we were especially doubtful that it could be restored. And, it did prove to be a challenge and required multiple efforts. But David and his team were absolutely tenacious about making sure that the end result met not just our expectations but also his very high standards. And, after considerable effort, it too was restored to its former glory with a result even better than we had hoped for.David and his team are extremely knowledgeable and clearly totally committed to delivering top-quality results. He and all of his people are a delight to work with, and he stays with it and does whatever it takes to deliver on his commitment to quality work. We recently had stonetile work done in four bathrooms in our home. We asked Dave to take a look and discuss sealing as well as ongoing care and maintenance. He was highly knowledgeable, frank and to the point. We were very impressed with his professionalism and knowledge base. My overall experience at ESP Sales was incredibleIn addition to his tremendous expertise in his trade of natural stone sealing, cleaning and repairing, the owner Dave Bonasera, has qualities that I find extremely rare in the business world, and frankly, refreshing, and this is his sincere kindness and genuine concern for his customers. I was having issues with polishing and cleaning my granite countertops, and Dave took a sincere interest in solving my problems by taking the time to figure out exactly what was going wrong, and then proceeding to recommend the correct solutions, products and tools. But what I found most impressive was that he took the time to demonstrate how to use the polishing and clearing products, and he even emailed me instructional videos to help me through the process. He definitely went above and beyond what I was expecting, and I really appreciate this in a service business. His office staff, including Alondra, were also extremely nice and helpful. Now my granite countertops shine brilliantly I must say that while Dave specializes in making natural stone shine, perhaps what sparkles the most about ESP Sales is the genuine kindness found inside -Victor.
