Three Meaningful Days with CERT
After waiting for so long, I finally had the opportunity to participate in the CERT – Community Emergency Response Team training. It was truly a meaningful and valuable experience.
CERT teaches us important survival and emergency response skills to help ourselves, protect our families, and assist others during unexpected situations such as fires, earthquakes, natural disasters, or other emergencies.
My heartfelt thanks to OAC for creating this wonderful opportunity for our community. Special thanks to Ms. Queeni, Mr. Leon, Mr. Le Quang, and all the organizers and staff who worked so hard behind the scenes throughout these three days.
I am also very grateful to our generous sponsors and OAC food team, especially Rong Bien Restaurant and Bui Vien Restaurant, for providing delicious meals, drinks, coffee, and snacks. Your kindness made these three days even more special.
A special thank-you to District 7 Councilmember Bien Doan, the City of San Jose, and the San Jose Fire Training Department for supporting this important program and bringing valuable emergency preparedness knowledge to the Vietnamese community in Northern California.
Most importantly, thank you to all 26 classmates for making these three days in San Jose such a wonderful, meaningful, and unforgettable experience.
