The LCW Group developed the landscape design concept for a 61-unit senior apartment community in Ontario, California.

With extensive experience designing senior housing communities, we carefully considered the unique needs of senior residents in creating both inviting public spaces and comfortable private outdoor areas. Each public space incorporates its own subtle design elements as part of an intuitive wayfinding system, helping residents easily recognize and navigate between different areas while adding character and identity to the community.

Finally, our site plan has earned the City's support.

The owner had been trying to move this project forward for nearly 10 years without making meaningful progress. The LCW Group was able to work with the owner to rethink the approach and develop a solution that creates a win-win situation for the project, the City, and the community.

We know there have been plenty of voices opposing the project, but we remain confident in our vision. At the end of the day, we believe we can deliver a beautiful ocean-view park and well-designed homes that will become a valuable addition to the community.

Although situations like this create good business for us, please don’t do it!

How could anyone think that a grading project involving more than 100 truckloads of earth on a steep, open hillside wouldn’t require permits?

Property owner finally called us and asked for helped after receiving violation notice. We’ll help guide the project through the proper permitting process and create a beautiful entry and outdoor spaces the owner can be proud of.

In collaboration with the developer and architect, both of whom have a long-standing working relationship with our team, we developed the landscape design concept for this **82-unit townhome community** on a **2.3-acre site** in the heart of Silicon Valley.

Located within a 30-minute drive of many of the region's major technology companies, the community is designed to serve professionals seeking convenient access to Silicon Valley's major employment centers.

Given the high cost of land in the area, the project offers limited common open space. The LCW Group's landscape design maximizes every available outdoor area by creating inviting gathering spaces, vibrant planting displays, and pedestrian-friendly streetscapes that enhance the overall living environment.

Each residence also features a private entry patio—an especially valuable outdoor amenity in a high-density community where private open space is at a premium. These thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces extend the living area, provide opportunities for social interaction and relaxation, and contribute to a welcoming neighborhood character.

We just completed the landscape concept design for a 92-unit townhome community in Redwood City.

It's especially rewarding to collaborate with both the owner and the architect, who have each played an important role in the founding and continued growth of our office. We're grateful for their trust and the opportunity to help bring another great project to life.

Over the past week, we traveled throughout Southern California, Louisville, and Nashville with one of our most loyal clients from China, visiting projects and exploring new ideas together.

Without their support, The LCW Group would not have been able to get off the ground 16 years ago. We are truly grateful for the trust and partnership they have shown us over the years.

We are excited to embark on a new venture with them. Instead of housing development, our next challenge will be creating a tourism-oriented wh***ey distillery.

We look forward to this new chapter and the opportunities ahead.

One of the most interesting things about being a landscape architect is the opportunity to work on many different types and scales of projects within a short period of time.

Here are some of the plans and on-site photos we’ve worked on over the past two weeks. They include two 100+ acre master-planned community, Buddhism culture center, an apartment building with an on-podium pool and open space, a special garden for a Catholic church, and improvements to a koi pond!
