We use design thinking and targeted implementation to improve a guest's journey within a built environment. We create branded environments and design signage programs supported by intuitive and well-considered wayfinding. Together with architects and developers, we partner on mixed use, civic and residential projects. Additionally we work with our healthcare, education and corporate clients to hel

Shannon Leigh is proud and honored to be on the design team for Second Harvest of Silicon Valley’s new warehouse which just broke ground this month.

Second Harvest is experiencing near-record demand for its food assistance; this warehouse will allow them to expand storage, welcome additional volunteers, and work more efficiently to meet the growing need.

Supporting our neighbors with dignity and care is Shannon Leigh’s passion and we can’t wait to see this building come to life by serving a thriving community.

From our principal, Shannon Hackley:

"At last Thursday’s Civic Lunch meeting, I was deeply honored to be inducted as the 166th President of the Rotary Club of Oakland #3. Joining Rotary back in 1988, I was privileged to be among the first women to join the organization. Oakland #3 is proud to be one of the most diverse clubs in the Rotary world. This year’s theme is, “The Magic of Rotary.” We plan to spread hope and magic into the projects we serve. I am grateful for the trust placed in me and look forward to the next year working together on great Oakland Rotary projects in the local and global community."

Congratulations Shannon!

We are excited to announce an important Rotary project right here in our own backyard! Shannon Leigh is proud to be a contributing design partner.

Oakland Rotary Clubs have partnered with the developer of Jack London Square in Oakland to transform a high traffic, high visibility location from merely functional, to deeply meaningful and experiential.

It will be a monument to peace designed by renowned Oakland-based muralist Hueman, featuring an augmented reality feature. Tune in to YouTube live this coming Thursday, June 17th, for the reveal event. Find the link to the reveal live stream in the comments below.

As a member of the Rotary Club of Oakland for 30 years, I support Rotary International because I believe in what they do: promote peace, fight disease, provide clean water, support education and help mothers and children.

There’s nothing like a global pandemic to make you think about what really matters. We’ve been reflecting on how we can do the most good in the world.

Here’s where we stand: our job is to make people’s lives better. To help them feel they belong and help them find their way.

Whether people are using the built environment to access healthcare, education, government, arts or social services, we want them to feel they matter.

We’ve distilled our purpose into a new mission statement and brand: MAKING PLACES FOR A BETTER WORLD.

We’re excited to share it with you.

When our property was being boarded up during the social unrest this summer (2020), I just didn't know what to do or say. Alana Washington spoke at SF Design week and she encouraged us (the white people listening) to be allies. To stay the course and to ask questions from our brown and black designers. Shannon Leigh wanted to make a statement by painting a mural on our studio facade...not our words, but the words of our birthday hero! How could we possibly have done better... Dr. King - Thank you for your words and your legacy...We can and will do better! 1455 Hays San Leandro,CA

This is an awesome local organization.

When Building Futures reaches out on behalf of one their shelter residents, we make sure to get her what she and her baby needs — This time it’s a double stroller. Thank you Naima for being an awesome partner in helping women and children! 🙌💪🏽

Dear Coworkers and neighbors,

We invite you to come to Station SL for an important event, Emergency and Earthquake Preparedness Training.

Station SL and Shannon Leigh are hosting Alameda County Emergency Response Training to help build a resilient community in San Leandro. We as a community should be prepared for possible emergencies, especially since we live near a couple of earthquake faults, and close to an urban wildfire zone.

Come learn how to be stronger in an emergency.
This free training will be held at our Station SL at 1455 Hays St. on May 7th at 10am.

Please RSVP with Kat or Zac (at [email protected]) by Friday.

Look forward to seeing you there.
