I’m calling to urge Senator [Name] to refuse to vote for any appropriations bill for the Department of Homeland Security that fails to rein in ICE.

Renee Good’s killing on January 7, is part of a broader pattern of unchecked violence, impunity, and abuse carried out by federal immigration enforcement agencies against our communities.

We can’t wait around while ICE harms more people. Senator [NAME] must push for an appropriations bill that puts serious restrictions on ICE, ends its dragnet raids, and doesn’t add a penny to its already bloated budget.

Israeli government officials are stating that all humanitarian aid to Gaza should be stopped permanently, which is cruel and inhumane. I’m rarely on this platform these days but I hope that you can see this too. It’s not antisemitism, it’s about compassion and humanity, and not starving people to death. Free Palestine!

Please please please don’t become the Tin Man on this. So many Americans have turned into The Tin Man, from the Wizard of Oz. If you don’t recall, the Tin Man was cursed by the Wicked Witch of the East, and didn’t have a heart, so he couldn’t experience emotions like love and sadness.

Please please please don’t become the Tin Man on this. Don’t turn away. Don’t think that someone else is just going to do it for you, so that you don’t have to participate. Your neighbors, your community, your family, and the world at large needs your help. If you supported the resistance in Star Wars, you’re up next fam, it’s your stage. This is not cosplay, it’s time to act.

Missing my q***r fam this weekend for SF Pride.
This photo is of my sister and I after the D**e March, sometime around 2002 or 2003 — leather pants, pink hair, 00 gauge plugs. Peak late ’90s/early 2000s San Francisco. 😂

The city was alive back in then in a way that felt electric: messy, magical, rambunctious, creative, authentic and full of chosen family. I miss it dearly!!

RIP The Lex, Hamburger Mary’s, Club Q, Bearded Lady Café- you held so many of us in your glittery, gritty arms.

To everyone celebrating this weekend: thank you for keeping the spirit alive. 🌈💗✨ I’ll be dancing with you in spirit.

I had the realization today that I’m no lover willing to stay comfortable. I’m the person who combines deep feeling and clear thinking in a way that helps others feel less alone in the mess of it all. I’m going to say things that ruffle peoples feathers, especially as I speak my own truth, and mix politics with business. I’m here for the big dreamers & deep feelers. It’s up to us if we want to see changes, and it often starts by growing in ways that can be uncomfortable to others, because they expect you to be the same. But you’re already different, aren’t you? You’re free to outgrow any situation that you know is limiting you. Will you choose possibility?
