LWC-LED CODE ADOPTED UNANIMOUSLY
LWC congratulates the City of Rancho Cucamonga for the unanimous adoption of the updated Development Code and Form-Based Code. The new code implements the award-winning 2021 General Plan and community vision to transform the City’s commercial and employment areas into walkable, pedestrian friendly, mixed-use centers. The newly updated code applies a form-based approach that assures more predictable, streamlined, and context-sensitive results and a more harmonious transition between the public and private realm, mixed-use areas and adjacent neighborhoods, and buildings to the sidewalk and streetscape. The update also included new multi-family and residential mixed-use objective design standards that align with new State requirements to accelerate housing production. This project follows LWC’s participation in the City’s award-winning Etiwanda Heights Neighborhood and Conservation Plan and the LWC-led Industrial Zone Update (adopted 2021).
