Wow! Who knew you could acquire children through email 🤨. Today's laughable scam email. They seem silly but people are falling for these or they wouldn't keep sending them 😞

IRS warning of new scams to look out for. Don't be fooled!

The SSN scheme
• The latest twist includes scammers claiming to be able to suspend or cancel the victim’s Social Security number. This scam is similar to and often associated with the IRS impersonation scam.
• It is yet another attempt by con artists to frighten taxpayers into returning robocall voicemails.
• Scammers may mention overdue taxes in addition to threatening to cancel the taxpayer’s SSN.

Fake tax agency
• This scheme involves a letter threatening an IRS lien or levy.
• The scammer mails the letter to the taxpayer.
• The lien or levy is based on bogus overdue taxes owed to a non-existent agency.
• The fake agency is called the “Bureau of Tax Enforcement.” There is no such agency.

• The lien notification scam also likely references the IRS to confuse potential victims into thinking the letter is from a legitimate agency.

I'm sure most of you saw more money on your paychecks since 'The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act' took effect earlier this year. It's a good idea to perform a 'paycheck checkup'. No one wants any surprises when filing taxes.... at least the owing money kind of surprises 😯

Hey Friends! I have a client in Encinitas that is looking for a part-time admin/general support person. It is 8-20 hours per week. I imagine it could be closer to 20 and would grow if you are a great support! One of the requirements of the job is that you actually work and don't check your phone and social media throughout the day. I say this because the previous people could not keep off their phone, and no business can afford to pay someone to be on their phone/SM and not get the to-do list completed. He is particular about how things are done, so you will need to be able to listen and follow instructions. Then, the crooks use various tactics to con taxpayers...
