Just look at the exponential growth in mobile game downloads from 2015 to 2022: We've leapt from 24.3 billion downloads in 2015 to an incredible 55.6 billion in 2022.

In just seven years, the number of mobile game downloads has more than doubled. From 2015 to 2017, downloads surged from 24.3 billion to 34.7 billion. By 2019, we saw this number rise to 42.1 billion. And then the milestone of 55.6 billion in 2022 - a testament to the continuous innovation and dynamism of the mobile gaming industry.

In an AppMagic report, Q2 showed a slight decrease in total downloads compared to the previous quarter, but the magic of hypercasual games is still very much alive.

Among the top performers, we see some familiar names like 'Bridge Race' and 'Going Balls', and it's exciting to welcome new high-flyers. 'Tomb of the Mask', for instance, has bagged an impressive 27M installs in three months, boasting gameplay that pays homage to classic arcade style.

Another notable mention is 'Piano Star: Tap Music Tiles', with 25.7M downloads. This rhythm game hooks players with its simple, time-sensitive touch mechanic synced with various music tracks.

And let's not forget about 'Burger Please!', an idle arcade newcomer that brilliantly merges idle gameplay with various events and mini-games, boasting 25M installs this spring.

Simulation and Puzzle games followed with 617 million and 375 million downloads, respectively, highlighting a love for immersive and mentally engaging experiences.
