Leon Tackitt on the annual w**e grape harvest....
"Every year brings different weather, different challenges, and different decisions to make. You can’t just go through the motions and expect good w**e at the end of it."

You’d think after all these years of making w**e, I’d have this whole thing figured out. 🍇

And sure, experience teaches you a thing or two. But one thing I’ve learned is that no two harvests are ever the same.

Every year brings different weather, different challenges, and different decisions to make. You can’t just go through the motions and expect good w**e at the end of it.

You have to pay attention. Get your hands dirty. Know when to trust your experience and when to let the grapes tell you what they need.

That’s what I love about this work. There’s always something worth learning, and there’s a whole lot of care that goes into every bottle long before you ever get to enjoy it.

Here’s to Harvest 2026. Looking forward to seeing what comes of it. 🍷

Our new Sunset Red (Syrah and Petite Sirah)
We are a family w**ery and all of the children love helping out whenever they can. They all designed a special label and we are so proud of them and this w**e! Riverstar will be donating 10 dollars of each w**e sold to local children’s charities. Cheers! ❤️🍷 **ery **es **etasting **etrail

Great w**e takes time. And this is where it all begins. 🍇🍷

We’re taking you behind the scenes at Tackitt Family Vineyards for their final crush of the 2026 harvest season!

It might not be the prettiest part of w**emaking, but there’s something pretty incredible about watching months of hard work in the vineyard turn into the beginnings of a future vintage.

And while the grapes may be crushed, the w**emaker’s work is far from over. There’s still plenty of patience, skill, and care between this moment and the bottle you’ll eventually bring home.

Here’s to another Paso Robles harvest in the books! Who else can’t wait to taste what 2026 has in store?🥂

What if we’ve been looking at w**e all wrong? 🍷

There’s a lot of conversation these days about drinking less, living healthier, and being more intentional about what we consume. And those are conversations worth having.

But somewhere along the way, we hope we don’t forget everything else that makes w**e country so special.

The friendships built around a table. The fresh air and rolling hills. The stories shared by the people who grow the grapes and make the w**e. The chance to put our phones down, slow our pace, and really enjoy the company we’re in.

Because while w**e itself isn’t a health necessity, connection, community, and time spent enjoying life matter, too.

And those are things worth preserving.

Here on the Pleasant Valley W**e Trail, we’re proud to be part of a w**e culture that’s about so much more than what’s in your glass.

Come for the w**e. Stay for everything that comes with it. 🍇

What do YOU love most about visiting w**e country?

At Bon Niche Cellars, even the farm animals have a job to do. 🐐🍷

Those adorable goats, sheep, and pigs aren’t just there for the photo ops! They’re part of a much bigger commitment to sustainable w**egrowing, helping manage vegetation naturally while caring for the land they call home.

And that commitment goes far beyond the vineyard. 🌱

Bon Niche recently renewed its SIP (Sustainability in Practice) Certification, a rigorous, third-party-verified recognition of sustainable practices that prioritize the land, the people, and the future of w**emaking.

Now THAT is something worth raising a glass to! 🥂

And what better way to celebrate than during Harvest W**e Weekend? is inviting guests to experience the fruits of their labor with a special W**emaker’s Dinner, featuring the w**es, stories, and personal hospitality that make this little corner of Paso Robles so special.

Great w**e tastes even better when you know the heart and hard work behind it. ❤️
