George Tilesch is leading a workshop today at the Technology and Defence Conference by VIKI - Defence Innovation Research Institute of Hungary in Budapest. The session dives into the practical realities of AI adoption in defence — what is truly deployable, where organisations struggle, and which overlooked frictions often decide success or failure.
Using scenario-driven questions, the workshop helps participants explore capability integration across domains, recognise critical failure modes, and understand how doctrine, procurement and training shape real-world outcomes.
