Was at Marin Interfaith Council's Immigrant Solidarity March & Rally with over 140 others at which we sang, heard an amazing youth orchestra, and were inspired by two young women who shared stories from their families' journey as immigrants in this country.

Thank you everyone for a fantastic march and rally yesterday!

The energy was powerful to witness, and it was inspiring to hear such amazing stories , energizing music, and the support from every single organizer, volunteer, and supporter in attendance!

Thank you all for standing in solidarity with our immigrant sisters and brothers so that everyone in Marin feels welcome, supported, and valued.

A huge thank you to Canal Welcome Center and Saint Raphael School for Co-hosting and supporting this event!

Be sure to follow our page to stay informed about more opportunities to serve and support inclusion in Marin!

In solidarity with our local students....

One of our staff members caught this moment of students at Marin Academy participating in the National School Walkout today.

It's great to see our youth standing in solidarity on such an important issue like gun control/gun violence.

We salute and support your efforts!

If you have photos of students at other schools across Marin, be sure to tag them with or email them to [email protected]!

Love Lives in Marin (LLIM) is an initiative of the Marin Interfaith Council designed to nurture a positive, welcoming environment in Marin, and cultivate a culture of love throughout the county that reshapes our public discourse.

A part of the LLIM movement is to create opportunities for residents to engage and promote a welcoming and inclusive community.

The purpose of our monthly challenge is to help our community welcome ALL. Do our words and actions speak welcome, inclusion, and compassion here in Marin County?

To participate in the challenge, simply post your photos, videos, or written reflections and using our hashtag . We will check on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, and share your posts right here on our page so the community can see the great things you are doing!

This is truly a movement, OUR movement. So we need you to help spread the love and inclusion!

How did Leonard Nimoy create the Vulcan salute, and what blessing does it offer for misfits and outsiders?

I had tears in my eyes a few months ago when I learned Leonard Nimoy had died. He and his Star Trek character Mr. Spock felt like close, lifelong friends. I grew up watching endless hours of Star T...

Are you willing to risk throwing control out the window?

At a recent staff meeting, I said it was time to "throw control out the window". We paused to chuckle and ponder that possibility before returning to our meeting agenda. What would it look like for...

Each morning, the gentle breeze of meditation clears my foggy mind. For a moment, the haze of what I thought I knew dissolves. I remember Who I Am. Freed from plans, expectations and my house-of-ca...

Ineffectual religion clings to specific ways and forms in which we experience God/the Divine. How can we let go of the fading forms and connect with the Essence to which they point?

This is a Space Rocket Epiphyllum that lives on our front porch. The diner-plate-sized blossoms explode in shades of fuchsia and crimson and then dissolve after a couple of days. The blooms, though...

Where do you find a little bit of heaven on earth? Perhaps this Pilgrim Rose might help you find some bliss midst the daily grind.

We have a rose variety in our backyard called "The Pilgrim". This is a photo of its latest bloom, which graces passersby with a candy-sweet-almost-tastable fragrance. The Pilgrim is named after pil...
