For surveys that go on so long that you can see the sky turning pink again, snacks are appreciated! We often get asked how large of a ranch we can survey with a thermal drone and like everything else with wildlife management the answer is “it depends”. Total acreage is definitely a factor, but it can flex a lot based on plant community, topography, animal density, temperature, soil type, ranch shape, pasture size, and the list keeps going. Our data collection and post-survey report is much more detailed than simple count of buck, doe, and fawn numbers. As the survey is taking place we are helping you make real time management decisions that will affect the speed, efficiency and cost that it will take to reach your goals and objectives.
