Hello, I'm Sharon McElwain-The Glass Lass and I've been doing stained glass since 1981. It all started by needing a stained glass window in my own entryway and 33 years later here I am. Every piece is hand cut, ground on a glass grinder, foiled or leaded into place and then soldered for the finished product. I've created windows for custom homes where I have included front doors, sidelights and tr

ansoms, kitchen ceiling panels and bathroom windows. I have worked on 6 churches (which are some of my favorite commissions-one of them was a restoration for a church from 1906) and restaurants. I am also a vendor at the Scottish Highland games in some southern California locations and some in Arizona. Here I specialize in celtic knot work and family heritage pieces, clan badges and family crests.

My favorite kinds of movies seem to be filled with old cathedrals and churches with magnificent stained glass windows. I’ve done several churches in my career, I’m hoping to have the privilege of creating some windows for a new church that is being built in Phelan, California, Fountain of Living Water. That will be exciting!
