🪣 BARREL OF COMPOST
Living compost delivered right to you in a 55-gallon barrel. Our community gathers food scraps, our partners at Growers Best Organics compost them, and a share comes back to Green Thumbs to support the program. All our barrels are food-grade 55-gallon drums, reused again and again to keep them out of the landfill.
💲 PRICING
• $45 per barrel of compost + tax
• $60 per barrel of garden mix from Growers Best Organics + tax
• $20 refundable deposit per barrel
• First week of barrel rental included, then $1 per barrel per day (max $5 per week)
• 💵 5% off your barrels when you pay cash at delivery
• Delivery covers up to 5 barrels (+$5 each additional):
$25 — San Tan Valley, Queen Creek, Gilbert, Florence, Coolidge, Apache Junction
$35 — Chandler, Mesa
$50 — Tempe, Gold Canyon, Maricopa, Casa Grande, south Scottsdale
$65 — Phoenix, central & north Scottsdale, Fountain Hills

🚚 HOW DELIVERY WORKS
We schedule deliveries and pickups within about a week so we can route efficiently. No need to be home — just tell us where to place the barrels. If you'd like to be home, give us a couple of dates and AM or PM and we'll do our best to match one.
♻️ WHEN YOU'RE DONE
Text us "READY FOR PICKUP" when your barrels are empty, with any pickup instructions. Rental stops the day you text us. Your deposit is refunded once the barrels come back empty, trash-free and undamaged, minus any rental owed.
📋 THE FINE PRINT
• Barrels are delivered to the curb at no extra charge. As a courtesy, our powered barrel mover can often place them right where you want them. It handles some gravel, grass and slopes, and needs a path about 2 feet wide. We'll do what we can, but no guarantees. Our driver makes the final call on what's safe.
• Please tell us about sprinkler lines, soft ground or fragile surfaces. We're not responsible for damage to driveways, landscaping, irrigation or property during delivery or pickup.
• Not home? We'll place barrels where you asked, or at the closest safe spot.
• Barrels are Green Thumbs property. Return them empty, trash-free and undamaged for your deposit back.
• Replying YES to your quote means you agree to our full Delivery Terms, pinned at the top of our page.
💚 Our crew works hard to get your barrels right where you need them. Tips are never expected, but always appreciated!
